b9, you reminded me that i, too, don't like papaya. i find it sickeningly sweet.

it does not really taste very sweet to me. it is the scent i associate with vomit that repels me from it. i only tried it once at my mother's insistence, and it did not taste like vomit, but the olfactory "swill" (or scent that is pushed into the soft palate into the nasal cavity) that was pushed into my nose whilst eating it still smelled of vomit even while i was eating it. it also gave me an aftertaste reminiscent of vomit.
i also do not like rock melon (goodness knows what it is called in the USA or europe) due to a more dilute facsimile of the reason i do not like papaya.

in addition to my previous list which did not include vegetables, i will say that i am not partial to sweet potato because of the dry pasty texture and the way it absorbs all the saliva from my mouth while i am eating it. even equal amounts of butter with sweet potato in the same mouthful does not lubricate it sufficiently to make it tolerable to me.

i also do not like ginger or english herbs like rosemary etc. i like many spices, but i do not like any herbs except for benign ones like parsley or chives (and even then, only in scrambled eggs).

I've never eaten cereal with milk in my life; I find it gross and soggy.

Same here; I much prefer cereal without milk.

Flavors that make me gag:
-Ginger.
-Thyme.
-Tarragon.
-Seafood.
-Most beer, wine & liquor.
-Most sweets except chocolate.
-Lemongrass.
-Most foul, game & red meat (chicken/turkey white meat, lean hamburger & some sausages are okay).

Textures that send me a wee bit toward a meltdown:
-Carbonated anything.
-Anything fatty or with gristle.
-Any shellfish or arthropod.
-Anything soft with chewy bits (think: chunky meatloaf, jello salad, stuffing with liver or gizzard bits, anything with fat or cartilage).
-Bones that my teeth might touch.

Visually, anything that triggers trypophobia makes me nauseous.

I can't do Carrots (except if they are frozen and diced and mixed with peas), and I can't do beef because it's way too chewy and gets stuck in my teeth. I also dislike Crunchy peanut butter because the peanut bits like to go in between my tooth and my gums...

I also dislike diluted drinks especially juice or soda, cranberry juice, grape juice, and any milk that isn't whole milk.

to me, green olives taste like the turds of Satan himself- metallic, bitter, uber-sour. :eew: caraway seeds are as the nail clippings of Satan's dog, with a teeth-perturbing quality as they drive themselves between teeth in a way not quickly amenable with dental floss, and an off-putting quasi-minty/rotten cardboard aftertaste. cucumbers are like a cross between rubber, cartilage and wilted rotten lettuce, more rotten cardboard but ickily grunchy as well. asparagus to me, tastes like what I imagine the turds of the jolly green giant would taste like, a mildly burnt and rubbery flavor. bitter beer [99% o' them] tastes like Satan's piss, like liquid dirt. most wine tastes like medicine. whiskey and bourbon tastes like fire.

Oddly enough given the subject matter, your wordsmithery makes me happy.

Parsnips. If a parsnip passes my lips, I feel like being sick. I just can't stand the taste.

Tomatoes, unless mixed into a meal to give it flavour. I also don't mind tomato sauce.

There are other foods I don't like, but those two are foods I just cannot eat at all because I don't like the taste of.

With drinks, I don't like tea or coffee. In fact I'm not really a hot drink person. I prefer cold drinks.

Raw tomatoes, unless diced small and mixed into something with stronger flavors.

Mushrooms. Because they are slimy. But I don't mind the actual flavor. I like tree ears though.

Bananas. Unless mixed into something. Because I hate the texture.

Raw cucumbers.

Any kind of melon.

Cottage cheese. I won't even try it.

Canned tuna. I won't even try it.

Mayonnaise, unless mixed into a recipe.

Blue cheese. I won't even try it.

Tempeh.

Hamburgers.

Chicken salad. Won't try it.

Egg salad. Tried it once.

Potato salad. Won't try it.

Tequila.

Rum.

Milk.
