When people say sweet foods are "the diabetes", or that they give people diabetes. Sweet, sugary foods do not actually *give* you diabetes. Of course, they should be eaten in moderation because overeating can lead to obesity, which can lead to diabetes.
So let me eat my doughnut in peace, you freaking Health Nazis!
