Yeah. I went through two before I just stopped buying them.
I preferred boom boxes.

I went out to do some shopping yesterday and brought my CD player with me. An older man noticed it and came up to me and asked where he could buy once because he'd been looking everywhere. I said I bought it years ago and he'd probably have to get one second-hand now.

If you gave me an MP3 player or whatever they're called these days I wouldn't have a clue how to use it.

Yes, I remember the old cassette ones. :D I used one in the early 2000s decade!

My dad had one of the original Sony Walkmans - the yellow "sport" one.

I still have my Panasonic Shockwave VMSS (camo print w/ a few scratches from use when I was a teenager) & it still works! I bought a pair of dollar store headphones a year or so ago just to rob the foam covers from it and stretch them onto the VMSS ones. Thanks for reminding of it! I really should use it every now and then... those VMSS headphones were the best! "Virtual Motion Sound System" - they move like big bass drivers and feel awesome. 8)

I recall seeing one at my house years ago, but I never used it, as far as I can remember.

I still have two somewhere. The cassette ones. A walkman and a 2in1 walkman+voice recorder.

I threw mine away a long time ago. The cassette player broke so I started using it just for the radio. A while after it wouldn't turn on even with new good batteries.
