Dewberries are like blackberries but are found on coastal sand dunes of Carmarthenshire in South Wales (UK) and they taste a little sweeter. They look similar but are more delicate. I know we have dewberries locally but I am not sure if other coastal places have them? I would imagine they do?
There's a town called Dewsbury near Huddersfield in West Yorkshire. They probably haven't heard of dewberries there either.
Obscure fact: Dewsbury Rugby League Football Club used to be managed by the legendary BBC commentator Eddie Waring (he was probably a mustard man).
