The most interesting one I saw was, "I LOVE UKRAINE." I didn't know there were any people of Ukrainian descent where I live.

The most annoying one is "VISUALIZE USING YOUR TURN SIGNAL." Yes, it's important, but it sounds as if the person wants special accolades for doing what he's supposed to do for safety sake and to avoid annoying other drivers.

Way back when I was in junior high in circa 1970 I read an anectdote in Reader's Digest: someone said they were at a red light behind a car with a bumper sticker that said "Honk if You Love Jesus", so the narrator said "I enthusiastically honked my horn!". Then the driver of the car with bumper sticker jumped out and screamed "YOU @#$&@! Cant you see that I'm at a @#*@#* red light????".

"Bumper sticker philosophies" really irritate me. Who are they trying to impress?

Those stickers that say "How's my driving?" prompt me to say, "It's terrible!" if the person in front of me is doing something particularly dangerous.

I don't advertise my political or religious beliefs via bumper sticker. Those things are private or shared with family and friends, not strangers.

When Hillary Clinton was running for president some haters were putting stickers that said "Run Hillary Run" on their front bumper.

Now that is just disgusting. I liked the "Hillary for Prison 2016" ones and the "Any Functioning Adult 2020" but...running over a former First Lady & 67th Secretary of State, even if you don't like her, is absolutely un-American.

Denis Istomin: I Support Tennis Uzbekistan (no, not really, but that would be a good one for him, as he does support tennis in Uzbekistan).

... Various food and swearword puns in my native language.
... Too many perverted visuals and sayings/puns -- with minimal censors. Sometimes it's explicitly shown -- and it's no 'optical illusion.

Occasional direct translations of 'You're ugly/annoying' among various statements.

I guess bumper stickers are big business or maybe small business. There are many websites that sell them. Here are a few from one of these websites that are a little humorous. (Although most IMO are not!)

I tend to note bumper stickers which are "supposed to" discourage tailgaters. I sense the worded bumper stickers have very little effect on discouraging tailgating. I prefer to apply (visual design) vertical-striped stickers that cover the entire length of a bumper - which may be somewhat better than worded stickers. The novelty bumper-stickers (as opposed to popular stickers) are actually most noticeable.

The vertical-striped stickers color combinations available to possibly reduce the chances of rear-end collisions:

* Yellow/black.
* Orange/black.
* Orange/white.
* Red/white.
* And maybe red/black.

Here in Calif. it actually feels noticeable not to see novelty bumper stickers after a month or so.

Unfortunately, very little discourages tailgaters. I regularly see somebody riding someone else's bumper here. I'm surprised there aren't more rear-ender accidents. I have seen some really bad accidents, but rear-end collisions are surprising rare given the amount of "bumper kissing" drivers do here.

Some people have so many stickers on their cars and in places that obscure visibility. The cars they drive usually look like the aftermath of a destruction derby.
