Overall, to graduate with my bachelor's degree in Computer Science and then get a job in the field, be able to keep that job and then support myself and live independently.
Right now (within the next year or so), make some good friends, get down to a healthier weight, and become less afraid of long drives.

To crush my enemies, to see them fall at my feet while begging for mercy, to take their horses and goods, and to hear the lamentations of their women.

 I'm Joking.

My goals are to never take on student debt and never take out a mortgage.

Opportunity cost of not working and not earning and not gaining work experience.
Lose 4+ years and never get that time back and miss out earning and gaining experience from working.
College education is a scam, it is marketed as a guaranteed way of getting a decent paying job.
There are thousands of graduates and not many jobs available and it is only the top students get jobs and the majority end up in debt and compete for jobs that require no college education.
Most college degrees provide no work or life skills, just a theoretical knowledge.

Taking on student debt is the worst financial move anyone can make and that debt may never be repaid.
It is left wing governments that get countries into debt and they also encourage students to take on massive student loans.
Education should only be available for those who can afford it and only funded if it provides guaranteed jobs.
Why would anyone go into huge debt and end up with no job?

I do not believe in taking on a mortgage, there are extra hidden charges of maintaining a house, rates and taxes that add to the cost and it takes 30+ years to pay off a mortgage.
Why got into mortgage debt and face financial difficulty. Maintaining a job is a lot harder than older generations of secure employment and lower house prices.
House prices have fallen sharply in Europe and America because teh banks allowed too many people to take out loans that they could not afford.

Those goals somehow seem far more easily attainable than the goals of "To explore strange new world, to seek out new life and new civilizations, to boldly go where no one has gone before".

Setting, and acting on specific goals is more challenging for High-Functioning Autism (HFA), than for NTs.

On the practical day-to-day goals: The middle-age (personally) and older members of WP can relate to goals which most often evolve along the lines of considering themselves lucky if we've learned to go beyond "getting-by" day to day.

A "goal for goals of sorts" is to "keep going" in-spite of the wisdom, "If you want god (or our creator) to laugh, announce you plans and............goals!"

Examples: Consider why many of us long-ago stopped making such goals along the lines of New Year's resolutions! - In short, our goals might best quietly evolve!

Graceful degradation

Exhausted all the options a long time ago

Expelled from all the schools

Made redundant from all the jobs

Dumped by all the "friends"

Evicted

Tried numerous times to recover

Psychotherapy

Prozac effexor zoloft propranolol ativan wellbutrin

Support group

Meditation

Diet

Counseling is like "actions speak louder than words"

"Communication" euphemism for noise pollution

Lethargic

Simply don't have the energy time cash skill authority potential or emotional resilience, to recover even partially

Permanently wounded

Graceful degradation
