Are you implying that WrongPlanet is like an "On-line day-care center for adults"?
You mean like you did?
I did not imply it. I said it.

^^^who're those people?

Just some randoms I found on the internet
Photo 1 - A gang of mods, dressed in suits and parkas, show off the modified scooters they've covered in mirrors and headlights. Peckham, England. May 7, 1964.
Photo 2 - A rocker and his girlfriend pose for a Life Magazine photographer, leaning against their bike. England. July 1964.
https://allthatsinteresting.com/mods-vs-rockers#1

thanx :) that is fascinating, one wonders what became of those people, like if they are still around today, and what they've done all these decades and what they're up to nowadays.

Did a quick check and couldn't find much info except the Rockers are Les Burton ( 17 ) and his girlfriend Barbara Gaine

thank you :study: amazed that one could find that info on such obscure people.

The resort was given the name "Brighton Beach" in 1878 by Henry C. Murphy and a group of businessmen, who chose to name as an allusion to the English resort town of Brighton.

I was at one time a Jr. liaison moderator for the politics and media representation forum. But most of the trouble makers were banned and things calmed down and they no longer needed me.So my position ended

No, I have no need to belong to a subculture. I like jazz just fine, but I'm not a mod and don't follow their fashion either. I'd have to be far more invested.

Even with Domineekee's picture, most people in this thread seems to think the question had another meaning. Makes me wonder which one the OP had in mind....

Brighton Beach is a place where many Russians live. A few of them seem to be into organized crime.

As for the Original Question: I suspect it's a sort of "double entendre" type of thing (though not sexual).

Both Brighton Beaches were famously celebrated in Seventies and Eighties pop culture. The American one in Neil Simon's play-turned-into-film "Brighton Beach Memoirs", and the original British one in in the rock opera by the Who "Quadrophenia".

I would never be a member of a forum that let me become a moderator.
