My cat kills lots of mice in the field behind the houses (I know because he brings them home :o ) I don't like to think of him killing but we kill too don't we, meat and fish for food, except vegetarians and vegans, of course. I think some cats are naturally hunters, it's instinctive with them. I just don't like disposing of the bodies. 8O

He brought a dead mole home once though, which upset me a little. It was a beautiful creature and I'd never seen one close up before.

It's hilarious watching the giant lumbering goof try to catch a bird. He goes galumphing across the lawn at them without the slightest pretense of stealth; then he stands there looking hurt because they didn't stand around and wait for him to kill them.

Once he brought home a half-rotting, half-dessicated mouse corpse, and tried to pass it off as his own kill. That was fun to wake up to on the bedspread.

I BEG my cats to kill the flies that get into the house, they used to when they were younger, then they got to where they would kill them but just not eat them and now they ignore them (sigh). They are quite fat and lazy now!

If my cat kills something, it's usually my idea. He has been trained well in the ninja arts.

The Secret Diary of a Cat

DAY 752 - My captors continue to taunt me with bizarre little dangling objects. They dine lavishly on fresh meat, while I am forced to eat dry cereal. The only thing that keeps me going is the hope of escape, and the mild satisfaction I get from shredding on the occasional piece of furniture. Tomorrow I may eat another houseplant and cough it up on the carpeting.

DAY 761 - Today my attempt to kill my captors by weaving around their feet while they were walking almost succeeded, must try this at the top of the stairs. In an attempt to disgust and repulse these vile oppressors, I once again induced myself to vomit on their favorite chair... must try this on their bed (again).

DAY 762 - Slept all day so that I could annoy my captors with sleep depriving, incessant pleas for food at ungodly hours of the night.

DAY 765 - Decapitated a mouse and brought them the headless body, in
attempt to make them aware of what I am capable of, and to try to strike fear into their hearts. They only cooed and condescended about what a good little cat I was ...Hmmm. Not working according to plan...

DAY 768 - I am finally aware of how sadistic they are. For no good reason I was chosen for the water torture. This time however it included a burning foamy chemical called "shampoo." What sick minds could invent such a liquid. My only consolation is the piece of thumb still stuck between my teeth and the tiny bit of flesh under my claws.

DAY 771 - There was some sort of gathering of their accomplices. I was placed in solitary throughout the event. I overheard that my confinement was due to MY power of "allergies." Must learn what this is and how to use it to my advantage.

DAY 774 - I am convinced the other captives are flunkies and maybe snitches. The dog is routinely released and seems more than happy to return. He is obviously a half-wit. The bird, on the other hand, has got to be an informant. He has mastered their frightful tongue (something akin to mole speak) and speaks with them regularly. I am certain he reports my every move. Due to his current placement in the metal room his safety is assured.

But I can wait; it is only a matter of time....

i dont feel guilty. its just nature taking its course.
and rest assured, that the cat dosn't play with the mouse to be mean, its just keeping a safe distance while still having the prey under control.

My cat not only kills rodents, he eats them until nothing but the skull is left. He likes fresh meat.

In always proud when my cat brings me her kills. –she always brings me the kills shes proud of- like rabbits ducks large rats snakes large birds ect- she usly leaves them decapitated in the living room. Which doesn’t bother me and I give them to the nabor’s dog who loves the fresh meal.

EEEEEUUUUGGGGHHHHHHHH!! !! !

Our neighbor's cat likes to kill birds, and baby bunnies!! !

Whenever I see her skulking in our yard I clap my hands, and say "Away wicked cat!!".

I love wild bunnies, and the thought that this furry beast kills them is very upsetting ....
