When I was in my primary school once our teacher told us to write down on the sheets of paper what we liked and what we didn't in our mates from he same class and one girl, when she was to express her opinion about me, simply said: "I don't know because she doesn't say ANYTHING".

Yeah, I also rarely spoke in grade 9 or 10 unless spoken to. One person who was friends with my enemies but didn't necessarily want to be enemies with me even said that. She defended me sort of.

I got bullied by people in the year above who repeatedly called me "big head" because of my slightly enlarged skull (a result of childhood hydrocephalus. It's barely noticeable, apparently, but they certainly noticed, and made my life hell because of it).

Other than that, I got the usual assortment of taunts about being weird/geeky.

One guy in sixth grade said I had such a big head... from his attitude I deduced that he sort of found it attractive and sort of ugly, but was trying to sound teasing and a bit depressed and desperate to bring people down, so that his friends would think he was like them and not wierd. :) I never had hydrocephalus; I just have a big head. I think part of it is all the steam I have to blow off that I never got to blow off! So my head is full of it!

I thought the worst thing anybody ever called me was a "Sped"(short for Special Ed), Other then that since I looked like I was 8 all through high school, I was known as the "Baby" which I hated, I swear I never got patted on the butt or head so much, I even had people run over and pick me and do airplane with me, of course I loved who wouldn't, but its the principle of the matter lol! I think I was 4'8 80lbs when I graduated high school and the body of a 11 yr old haha.

I wasn't called anything on a regular basis, but here's a list of things I was called a few times:
Geek
Dork
Two-tone (because of the dye on my hair was growing out)
Crazy

In my early years, I was separated from the rest of my classmates, because I was taking material 3-4 years ahead of my grade. So I didn't really interact with them. I moved a lot too, so I was an outsider quite often. I got called all of the usual ones early on like, geek, nerd, etc. In high school, I was in Math classes with Seniors and they called me "The Human Calculator", since my last name starts with 'S' an dis longer than Arnold's and I was faster in calculating stuff than they were in punching it into a calculator and getting the answer. I ignored people so much and kept to myself, that I don't recall much else in my later years.

In my case that was precisely the problem. The other girls knew I didn't want to hang out with them, and that I preferred the company of boys. So the girls felt slighted and jealous, I suppose, and invented a sinister reason to explain my behavior.

It's an annoying double standard.

If a guy sleeps with lots of women other guys pat him on the back and buy him a beer.

If a woman sleeps with lots of men other women ostracize her.

Does anyone see the problem with this?

well, i, for one, find people who confuse partnership with sex disgustingm, regardless of their gender, but then, ... well, aspie. :)

gwen: hmm... its still strange. i guess its not meant as an insult for a certain kind of behaviour (such as calling a promiscous person a slut or a b***h for said behaviour) but just a brainless insult for being different.

strange bunch, those people out there are.

Honestly? I think that's just as bad as a woman sleeping with a lot of men. Always have.
