I once heard about someone with a cat they actually named Hitler because he was a white cat with a black moustache-like black spot under his nose! 8O

Actually, it's kind of funny if you know that Hitler was terrified of cats. Maybe it's karma and he came back as one for punishment. But I don't like the thought of anyone who was pure evil coming back as a cat. Maybe a cockroach or a mosquito.

Actually, I think the cat's owner didn't really name him that, it's just they couldn't help thinking it. I once saw photo a cat with a black stripe under his nose in an issue of Nintendo power named -who else?- Mario.

I used to know someone who had two pigs. They were named "Pork" and "Chop".

I have a cat named "MINOU" (me-new) which is cajun french for cat. It is the only thing she answers to.

My boyfriend had a dog named "Milo" that died last year. He also has a cat named "Otis". The funny thing is that he had never heard of the movie "Milo and Otis" and he named them several years apart.

my dog's name is shadow, yes it doesn't sound that bad at first because a dog can follow you around like your shadow, but my brother actually named her after shadow the hedgehog from the sonic games. He was very young when he named her but its still pretty funny to me.

Hahahaha oh this thread is great!

I have a cat named Wendy that I named after this Breaking Bad character:
Image
The character is a "lot lizard" prostitute who drinks off brand soda and has terrible teeth, smokes meth. My cat was a feral kitten who I found living underneath my landlady's house. I started off giving her dog food because that's all I had, so I figured that was similar to off brand soda. We all live in my house now and she eats expensive, prescription cat food.

I also have a pit bull named Kush who was from the pound originally. I am fervently anti-drugs so it's funny that this is my dog's name. The original owner that got him from the pound tried to change his name to Mr. Roper, but it depressed him and when the original owner gave him up I called him by his real name again.

We live next door to a little dog from the same pound whose original name was Endo, but was renamed successfully to Elmo.

There circulates this story about an American lady working in Saudi Arabia who named her dog Mohammed. She was sentenced 20 years or so for blasphemy. It took efforts to let her free in six months. Lesson: Don't do it. Prophet Mohammed, for one thing, had a cat named Muezza, and dog is considered a despicable creature in Islam.
