I have to agree with funeralxempire. The Bible is filled with stories of prophets aiding in God's works. How is Prophecy not magic?

That's not a good argument in my honest opinion.

well i view God as the creator of the universe and he gets to define sin and what is sin and what isnt and he has the right to define magic and use that defintion to ban it.

In that case I think Lilith the first wife of Adam before Eve is an interesting powerful demon from Jewish folklore who went from being such a feared evil night spirit who murdered babies in their cribs and seduced men in their dreams like a succubus to becoming such a popular symbol of feminism and rebellion among neopagans and satanists in modern times.

I like to think of her as still being evil but having cast her powerful spell over so many naive mortals who culturally appropriated her out of judiasm so that she can lead them down the garden path (pun intended ).

No wonder the guy who wrote "The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe" had the villainous White Witch described as a Daughter of Lilith while the four child heroes were descrìbed as Sons of Adam & Daughters of Eve. The White Witch was scheming to murder a bunch of innocent kids destined to rule over Narnia so that she could hold onto power (and even used her charms to turn the one boy against his own family), and she misled about half the creatures of Narnia into siding with her as the Rightful Queen.

Anywho some other villains I like straiy out of mythology.

Eris the Greek Goddess of Discord who set into motion the chain of events that led to a brutal bloody war and the sacking of Troy by tossing her infamous golden apple, sadistically laughing the entire time at the carnage and all because the other Gods refused to invite her to a wedding knowing what a s**t stirrer she was. Eris was also known for mothering several evil daimons that brought nothing but pain and suffering to mortals.

Anyone who actually studies Greek Mythology would understand that to the Ancient Greeks the Gods were not regarded as being evil or good. They were capable of being both kind and cruel depending on the situation. But Eris was one of the few deities who could truly be considered "evil" in nearly every way. Although just like with Lilith in modern times there are a few kooks who created an entire religion dedicates to the Lady of Strife herself (Discordianism).

Some others I like are...

Echidna the "Mother of all Monsters" in Greek Mythology described as having the upper body of a beautiful nymph and the lower body of a monsterous snalke. Lived in a dark cave with her husband the giant Typhon who nearly overthrew the gods until he was defeated by Zeus. Before being imprisoned in a volcano he fathered many monsterous offspring with Echidna like the Cerberous, Chimira, Phoenix, Sphinx, Gorgons, Hydra, and many others. Echidna often preyed on Greek Travelers until Hera the Queen of the Gods put a stop to her reign of terror by dispatching her loyal servant, another giant with many eyes named Argus, to kill Echidna as she slept in her cave. Echidna's children were then scattered throughout Greece and some came into the service of the Gods like the 3 headed Dog Cerberous who guards the Underworld for Hades or the Hydra whom Hera used to try and kill the hero Hercules but failed.

Lamia the Proud Demigod Queen of Libya who was a daughter of the Sea God Poisedon, until she decided to become a Mistress of Zeus and his wife Hera found out about this and punished Lamia severely by killing her own children and transforming her into a shape-shifting monster that would feed on the blood of other youths as a constant reminder of her sin against the Goddess of Marriage and the horrific deaths of her own children. Hera even gave her eyes that could never close shut so that she would forever be driven mad by the horrors, but Zeus actually took pity on her and gave her the ability to remove her eyes so that she could at least rest. She became something of a Greek Bogeymonster to scare children into behaving.

Also I like Tamamo no Mae, the 9 tailed fox spirit (kitsune) in Japanesr folklore who was wickedly evil and obsessed with obtaining power. She happarently had a thing for travelling all over Asia from China to India to Japan disguising as a beautiful girl and becoming a concubine to powerful emperors and lords, seducing these men with her charm and beauty and winning them over. But through this she would often use her fox magic to influence the physical and mental health of these powerful men, leading them and their dynasties down a path of total ruin.

She tried this on thr Emperor of Japan but was caught and chased down by the Emperor's best warriors who succeeded in slaying her with arrows. But the damage to the emperor's health was already done and he soon died, which plunged Japan into years of turmoil and violent war due to the emperor leaving behind no heir to take the throne.

The really weird part is that there is a large boulder in Japan marked off with ropes that was said to have been used to seal away her evil spirit, and it was found broken apart a few years ago around the time covid happened and Putin invaded Ukraine. Maybe this evil foxy lady is on the loose wrecking chaos once more?

Well that's what was so cool about Wesker. He was a scientist in Umbrella, he was leader of STARS, but all of those were just stepping stones for him. He used eveyrhting and everyone, and then discarded when the time came. His story could be amazing, if new writers didn't decided to make him boring typical evil cliche at the end.

Yeah that's a good point, but the Resident Evil games unfortunately were never known for having a consistently written plot. It's been an issue with these games since the very first game which had very bad voice acting and was obviously designed to be done in the style of those cheesy gory zombie flicks of the 1980's that lacked a coherent plot.

For example we all know that Chris, Jill, Barry, and Rebecca (and yes Wesker too although we didnt know he waa still alive until a few games later in Code Veronica) all escaped from the Mansion Lab, but exactly HOW did they all escape?

In both the original game and the remake if you play as Chris then only Rebecca and Jill escape with him in the end, but if you play as Jill then only Barry and Chris escape with her. Barry is also implied by Wesker to have died by the zombie dogs outside the mansion when Chris and Jill seek shelter inside the mansion so there's also that.

So my point is that these games were always filled with plot holes and poor character development including for Wesker since the very beginning. And the writers are always changing the plotline with each new game. They created kind of a mess because they couldnt decide whether to keep these games in the style of schlocky zombie fun or take themselves too seriously as action thrillers.
