Anarchy!! !! !! !! Waaaa the government is evil!! !! !! !! !

How rebellious and in-your-face. But in reality, it is the total breakdown of society, not good.

I think that offensive and explicit language should be censored, except in the Mature and Haven subforums. The word filters censor it out anyway, I think.

Posts like this one are exactly why I'm against it. people don't add it to their posts to emphazise their feelings. They use for no other reason to insult another poster, and quite often like what I quoted, there is nothing whatsoever of value that adds to the topic in the vulgar posting.

That's all well and good but that's how society is. Sad but true. I can appreciate your concerns regarding language and content.
However, this is a battle that has been on going for many years. Not just here but practically everywhere.

May I make a friendly suggestion. Perhaps ask Alex to create a forum strictly for those who desire a clean environment?

That's how society is? Where are you living? Heck, I grew up white trash in America and the only times I've seen people act like that in society is when they were clearly drunk.

Pray tell me where is "White trash in America"? As to me, I live in Oregon very near Portland (where I was born and grew up).

i think that swearing should be allowed, but the admins could introduce an option such as a "profanity filter" so that you can decide if you want to see profanity or not

There is a profanity filter running already. It filters certain letters (the vowels) in a word. If you look at earlier posts in this thread, you'll see it.

You can find it just about anywhere. I believe much of the middleclass world likes to call it something such as "Red Neck living."

Its more than just being poor. Its doing things like showing up for your child's formal scholarship dinner at a country club wearing a t-shirt, old torn jeans, and manure covered boots, and not being the least bit embarassed by such (something my dad once did).

There are people who pick their nose and stick it in their long beards without even trying to hide what they are doing (yes I've seen that first hand).

I've seen a guy covered head to toe and oil, sit down in the kitchen to call everyone and tell them what happened, before he considers taking a shower. And then not bothering to wipe off the phone when he finally cleans up either (not to mention holding on to the wooden railing as he walks upstairs, also not wiping the oil off of that, ever.)

I could go on and on. (or just invite you back home).

The language is cruder than you'll find in a middle class setting but still nothing even remotely like some of the posts made in this thread.

Feelings and opinions are their own spectra, so a little colorful language may be the optimum way to express some of them.

Be the rainbow. :D

How am I supposed to write my rap songs without the f, h, mf, b, b.a.h., j.m., n, c, h, and k words?
