I am totally phobic of the big flying cockroaches we have here. They are over an inch long and they FLY! Right AT you! EEEEWWWWWW!! !! !! !! !!

Only one thing goes through my mind when I see that picture: "STOMP! STOMP! STOMP!"
We have those kind in Texas, too. The ones that lived in my Dad's old house, where I grew up during my teens, were psychotic.

They'd make every effort to get nearer to you, even if they were dying from a recent shot of bug spray. The last one I saw was outside on the deck, and flew right to my mouth, which was closed, and it struggled to climb inside. That experience raised my scare-threshold, so that no mere
crawling or
non-mouth entering roach can remotely scare me. It's just "Stomp! Stomp! Stomp!" time, end of story.
I remember when I was about 12, and my skateboard just happened to run over a medium-sized roach, and its juices shot about a yard out of its body. It was cool! I wasn't even on the skateboard at the time. It was just rolling by itself, and the roach tried to cross its path.

Roach roadkill, FTW!
