Why aren't you allowed to download anything .... that's crap.

Can't you get something like the Gimp....

You seem to be letting yourself be too controlled - you're 16 aren't you?

BTW Berseker, you can buy a USB, they are very cheap, about $15 for a 1GB or 2GB Kingston one, and have all you need there and carry it with you.

Yes, I'm 16. This is my nanna's computer, and downloading stuff makes it slow. That's why I can only download small songs. If I had my own computer (which I won't) I would use it for games.

its the best idea IMO

and won't make the computer slow

Oh snap! I should get an avatar of a viking or berserker.

Can someone do that? Make a berserker avatar for me?

Nice nanna...

If a computer will help you feel comfortable, you should get one. How much do you think they are. I noticed Harvey Norman selling a brand new pretty good one (forgot some of the spec) 4GHz or something with 2GB RAM, DVD Burner and 180GB HDD for $595 yesterday. That's pretty cheap... you could go cheaper if you went without a brand name or got a second hand one from the markets.

Do they have computer markets in SA?

Depending on what you nanna uses the computer for, you could Ghost it to a hard drive and back it up. That way, if you ever had a problem you could restore it to the pre-mucked up state.

Also, it's generally a myth that games make PCs slower.
