paren't shouldn't 100% rule over kids...
kids should have a choice of religion
not have it shoved in them

Kilroy, if you ever have children of your own someday, and you may, you wouldn't want a virtual stranger on the internet to be encouraging them to behave in a way that you believe is not best for them. If that didn't bother you, you would be negligent as a parent.

And, if you choose to raise your child or children as athiests because you believe that is the best for them, you wouldn't want a stranger on the internet trying to convert them into a religion.

I did not see his other posts, and even if he is a troll, it raises good issues about using appropriate language to describe certain body parts and private actions.

Really, 14 year olds do talk like this and really do ask this. Part of what I did in my former job was fund adolescent pregnancy prevention (and not just telling girls to use birth control. It was for boys to learn to protect themselves from girls who just wanted to have a baby so someone would live them). Information is the key to prevention. Without information, kids can’t make proper decisions. Some school districts have 9 year olds having sex. And some have 6 year olds squeezing rear ends and breasts of teachers and other students.

I was fortunate enough to not have to participate in the running of teen groups, but my oh my, the language they would use and the questions they would ask amazed the counselors. And they did teach them to first use appropriate terminology. And usually the parents have no clue.

I don’t know if this is an appropriate place for kids to ask, as we should not be giving advice without parental consent. On the other hand, I think this is the safest place for them to ask because they will get real answers from real people. I would be afraid of predators answering these questions on other teen chat sites.
