Woah, really? Weird. I write on my hand all the time, and I know tons of people who do the same... huh. I wasn't aware that anyone considered it a strictly 'little kid' thing to do- it's just a way to remember something more easily.

who said writing on your hand was a bad thing to do?

My best friend, the secretary at the gym, and a random middle aged guy walking out of the gym.

I was told it makes me look like a fool.

Shame on you for having to google a Star Trek quote.

( How do you google a quote?)

to google it, easy:

1.- First I searched: "I'll never forgive them for the death of my artform."
but that returned no helpful results
2.- Then I searched: "I've never trusted computers and I never will."
also no good results
3.- Then I searched: "I've never trusted" "and I never will"
both in the same line. That gave some results,
4.- Then I added "I'll never forgive them" to do a search like this: "I've never trusted" "and I never will" "I'll never forgive them"
And that gave me like three or four results all pointing to Star Trek :P

easy, right? hehe :P

this thread is like the fifth result BTW 8O

I thought writing on ones hand was entirely normal, as well as logical . However a lot of people do seem to think of it as odd. :nemo:

In Indonesia they don't use toilet paper. That saves trees. It takes some getting used to . . .

How about I "show it off"?

I'll make a new list for when I go to the gym tonight.

" Buy hacksaw and shovel
dismember body
fill gastank
drive to the country after dark"
:P

I am an environmentalist and use my hands instead of paper when I need to write a short grocery list, a doctor's appointment, or anything else that will fit. Why waste paper? Your skin is nature's notepad.

That's the most stupid thing I've ever heard.

No one under the age of 8 does it? I didn't even start doing it until I was 12. There are some really important things in my life that would've completely passed me by had I not written it on my hand. Considering I only even remember to look at my hand about 50% of the time, I can't afford to stop doing it.

Tell that chick that she can be your personal secretary if writing on your hand is so horribly unacceptable -.-

She kinda is my personal secrtary. More like my "wrangler".

I'm co dependant on her. I quit hanging around all, the guys I knew because they were dragging me down. I'm meeting new people but its going slow.

The thing is since she's "normal" ( doesnt get fired on a regular basis for being"inaprpriate") I tend to believe everything she says.

My buddies know her and don't like her .She used to lie all the time. She might be doing it now but Hell how can I tell?

She also wants me and I have turned her down repeatedly, could that be a factor?

MMmmmmm! I think you might have to look elsewhere for a wrangler! I don't think she is doing it to get you back; I think it is her idea of teasing, and she may not see it as malicious.

You would not be aware of the messages the random male and your friend gave each other (in the eyes) as they teased you. They thought it was fun, and it would have been if you weren't aspie.

ok i do the writing on my hands thing.... and one day someone told me that i could get blood poisoning from it.. it isn't true... it used to be true... i looked it up.... it was something about the ingredients in ink back when you had to dip pens in an ink pot (or fill them up).... i don't remember the name.... but modern ink has new ingredients so it is no longer possible

you also used to be able to get lead poisoning from drawing on yourself with pencil then washing your hands(or rubbing eyes/sucking fingers)... because pencil lead used to be pure lead... it's why we use #2 now

i bet everyone has written on their hands once in their life so ignore the people that say they haven't, they're lying.

I went grocery shopping and to the doctor Monday. I wrote my list on my hand and my next appointment above that. There is still a little of the writing on there today that has not completely washed off.
