Congratulations! It's got a reclining feature, eh? Perfect for hugs! Have fun with your new chair!

actually I have a tilt system. You see that the back to butt angle does not change thus not changing spinal position. That is crucial with my case due to my severe spinal deformities. The tilt system changes pressure from the butt to more body weight on the back and spine.
I've seen one of those. I made friends with the girl at a disabilities disco ( I went with my twin) and she got tired halfway so she tilted back and started to fall asleep, and I'm like: O.o

Yeah, before that I'd only seen normal ones.

Heh, there's a lot of irony in my disease. The irony happens in three places. 1 since preschool I always been the weird one knowing everything about powerchairs. Technically a powerchair geek. 2 every single one of my girlfriends were in powerchairs, ironically both had CP but my first relationship fell apart since it was in 3-5th grade and I had when the school forced me to transfer to another school in the district I never got her home phone. Then the third thing of irony is I always been one to know everything about neurological disabilities and diseases. Funny thing is the doctor discovered that I have one. So far we are PDS (pretty damn sure) that it is SMA. But due to blood abnormalities we have finalized and confirmed I do indeed have something neurodegenerative. We cannot get a muscle biopsy to confirm and finalize the current evidence based SMA diagnosis due to how weak my lung muscles. I would probably make it our of anesthesia but won't be able to come off the ventilator.

And about the tilt system.... Talk about sleep for me... Some people never fall asleep... Well you had better keep me doing something or expect me gone.

That is AWESOME, Straps! :D Is that the PowerChair in your avatar? I have a friend with cerebral palsy who has a electric wheelchair that looks very similar to yours except that it has a larger motor, larger wheels, and is purple instead of blue.

That is me in my powerchair in what I like to call "dead bug mode" which technically is a deep tilt for my spine. That helps my spinal deformities. Indeed your friend probably weighs more than me. I only weigh 89 pounds. I'm a tiny little critter so I don't need a monster powerchair. 89 pounds used on the 300 pound weight capacity. I think I'll slap some servers on a rack mount on the back to fill that extra weight capacity

The worlds first mobile server farm. Impervious to natural disaster as the farm has the ability to run away from disasters!

Hey! I could make this idea a real money maker! Powerchair server rackmounts! Time to call the patent office.

Well yeah, I know it's a tilt feature. I was being... what's the word? I dunno. Anyway, that looks comfortable as hell. Sitting straight up does not feel good after awhile when your back isn't straight. (Maybe it doesn't feel great if your back is straight either, but I wouldn't know!)

Sorry, no, it cannot fly. Though that can easily be added probably. But really, is that necessary when I could just get on a plane?

Cool! :D

But I still think something more threatening and powerful would be better for you, like this:

Image

This heavily-photoshopped pic is from an old TheOnion.com article entitled, "Stephen Hawking Builds Robotic Exoskeleton."

It's like he just got bored of his condition one day, and felt like kicking some serious biped ass!
You can tell he's thinking, "Oh, it's ON NOW, b***h!"

If you decide to build it, just *please* remember who your friends are! 8O
