What pets do you own?

cats. I'd get a dog and more animals but I'm not allowed to where I live.

I agree. Nobody owns a cat or any other pet. They're members of the family. People who neglect their pets will neglect their children and treat other people shabbily too.

I recently became the proud owner of a pair of blue finches, Statler and Waldorf (after the Muppet characters, not the posh NYC hotels). I love those little guys.

Yes, my two boy cats. One of them sits near this keyboard at my computer and in my arms purring. I wanna get him off but how can I. He'll make me feel guilty. Now he's got his paws on the buttons.

4 cats (Siamese, Tabby, one black one with white paws, and one solid gray...not sure if it's a Russian Blue or not..

I just luv the temperment of siamese. I grew up with the choclate points, they're big and burly. Once I had a lilac point, he was my favorite. He'd follow me everywhere and was always curious. Unfortunately, he didn't live that long. Still upsets me to this day.

We have quite a few pets- four dogs and two cats, plus two rats (mine), two tortoises (my mom's) and eight birds. The birds are all cockatiels and budgies except for one- a Jardine's parrot who is named both Verdi (after a snake in a children's picture book) and Shego (after a snarky cartoon supervillain).

I love Siamese too! Lynx points are my favorites. I have had two of them, first Samantha and now Prince. I also have a feral Snowshoe, Faber.

I live with three cats:
Dusty (mine), a large 4-year-old dilute tortie mutt that has me wrapped around her little paw.
Syd (my brother's), a large grey exotic-breed mutt with a stumpy tail and close-set eyes
D (everyone's), possibly mixed/possibly pure Maine Coon who is small for his breed

And a dog, Dexter, who is an 8-year-old purebred Yorkshire Terrier.

We also have a couple huge goldfish and a turtle named Teal'c.

He was like a little person to me. I miss him so much.

Currently I only have 2 bearded dragons and 1 cat that sometimes comes to visit me for free food.

One African Grey parrot (Chloe), and she's a little noisemaker, much to my annoyance at times.

I also have one of these:



Blind Cave Fish (Astyanax fasciatus mexicanus).

His name is Gallifrey. I don't have a picture of him, but he is slightly different from the one pictured as he is a deformed hunch-back.

He used to have 2 "brothers" - two normal Blind Cave fishes named Raincloud (who I rescued from a pet shop, where the staff were not even aware of what his species) and Da Vinci (bought with Gallifrey as a companion for Raincloud).

We had them for a couple of years until my mother, who owns the tank and usually feeds the fish went on holiday and didn't remind me to feed them while she was away (of course, no-one else thought to remind me, either ). Da Vinci was dead by the time she returned, and Raincloud died a few weeks later after developing a strange red infectious lump on his side.
