I bow to y'all's superior knowledge of regional gastronomy. :hail:

But then... whole grain crust? O.o I'll take my cardboard with gratuitous extra cheese, thank you.

Besides, we all know Calzone > pizza.

I usually go for plain cheese due to its cost effectiveness and the lack of decent veggie toppings at most establishments.

When I worked at a pizza place and got free pizza, I enjoyed creating crazy combinations of toppings. Like pineapple, jalapeno, garlic, and eggplant. Yum!

I also used to occasionally treat myself to a Fancy Pizza from a fancy pizza place. My Fancy Pizza was topped with pine nuts, capers, goat cheese, and sun-dried tomatoes, in addition to the regular pizza sauce and pizza cheese.

I think my favorite pizza chain is Godfather's Pizza, since I grew up with it. I also like Pizza Hut, but their pizza can deceive me, making my eyes bigger than my stomach.

I also like to eat grinders from my nearest pizzeria called Athens' Pizza.

Heck, yeah. Any other kind of breading is just empty calories.

calzone

Perfect example. I'll take the calzone, minus the big mass of white bread, thanks. Oops, that doesn't include much, does it.

I hate phone calls like that.

I actually had a friend in England (I'm in the states) call the local pizza place for me, to order... (Local places dont do online ordering)

I actually thought about making a company that will make phone calls like this for you (for a price, of course)..... Would you use it?

Avoid Dominoes, If I could, I would order Pizza from these places:

Aunti Leoni's
Pizza Joint
Portland Pie

Unfortunately, they are all in Portland, Maine and I am in South Carolina, so delivery by them is problematic.

My favourite is Pizza Tonno, i.e. with tuna. There's a very decent frozen one from Dr. Oetker that I often buy.

I'm not picky. Almost any pizza falls in the range of good to great. Even Sbarro, which my logical mind recognizes as wretched.

Aspiezza topic

I wonder what is the most popular pizza here at WP? So far I have noted that pepperoni is popular. I like virtual eating. No extra fat or calories!

Canadian bacon is also called back bacon. It is meatier than side bacon, and a favourite of the Mackenzie Brothers! :D

I wish I could afford a pizza. We like Vincenzo's, topped with sausage & mushroom.

Pizza Schmizza and Hot Lips Pizza,
both of Portland, are the best!

I like any pizza, as long as it doesn't taste like cardboard.
