Golem. They actually make klezmer, a normally uncool genre of music, sound like pure, unadulterated awesome. Plus, I have a girl-crush on the lead singer.

The Dresden Dolls are also pretty cool. You gotta love a band where the male member dresses in drag onstage, and Amanda Palmer's damn awesome.

I also adore Neutral Milk Hotel. Their lyrics don't make any sense, but they rock nonetheless.
