In my opinion exercise and muscle are the most overlooked aspects of getting in shape, fitness does not equate to pounds. Get lots of cardio, weight train, and eat healthy. Cutting carbs is somewhat pointless in the long run, unless you are way overweight and eat way too much. Starving yourself makes your body hold onto fat and burn muscle, you lose weight but you are less healthy and will gain even more weight later. Muscles use more energy than fat so the more muscle you have the more energy you burn. Since you eat more your body will not store all of the fat because it doesn't think you are starving and you burn the energy you do eat. Also if you are healthier you will feel better and will exercise more so it is even easier to stay in shape. When you go on diets just to lose weight you tend to lose a lot of muscle and just take steps backwards. Of course if you are more than forty or so pounds overweight then you could probably get rid of some fat without losing much if any muscle, it takes longer but it actually works.

Personally I am trying to gain weight, aderall and levoxyl make it hard not to lose weight. :?

Yes you look fat. Quit gaining weight and start working out. Fat isn't too hard to lose once you eat healthy and work out.

Not to hurt any feelings, that is just how I would feel about my body if I were your size.

Pudgy. Not obese. I'm obese, don't know about you. That black blob is really worrying though. Have you been to the doctor?

Man without a face topic

You look like your head exploded, and now there is a black hole. 8O

To be honest, you look out of shape for a young man your age.

You need some physical activity in your lifestyle. Cut out the fast food. Too many young people have such poor nutritional habits.

You did ask. I did tell. What do your parents say?

yes you look overweight , but not grossly or morbidly obese. you could stand to lose about 15 to 25lbs. it looks like .

it's all about portion control ,exercise with dieting

three main things

1) portion control , not always necessarily what you eat it's the amount
that you eat

2 ) exercise, moderate exercise three times a week

3 ) diet , what kind of nutritional foods are you eating or not eating ?

When I think of fat, I picture those people where their stomach hangs over their belt and dangles a bit, so I'm gonna say no.

Never hurts to keep a watch on your weight though...I have this weird obsession with keeping myself the same weight. I know it's just a number, but if I go over it by ten pounds, I'll try to keep a closer eye on what I'm eating (chicken nuggets at school always did me in).

I always try to eat well and get exercise anyway...though most of my physical activity is less for health reasons and more because I'm trying to burn off some hyperness ;D

oooh FATTY FAT FAT!! !... that was a joke, you are a little on the chubby side, but i wouldnt call you fat.. even with my warped american perceptions. If you are concerned about it, the non-parakeety fellow has the idea... up the exercise and cut the sweets. It just takes food and time. Please, though. Dont obsess over it. You are young and still have plenty of time to get to the shape you want. Obsessing over it is like stepping on a dog poop. It haunts you.

Amazingly, you have the exact same body build I have. I'm also 5'11, and am 217 pounds. I'd say we both should work off some body fat.

I hope I find out a way to lose some weight. I'll try to figure out a way to get rid of my black hole as well some other day. I don't want the world to get sucked into it.

Here are some pics of my face:

When I was young the girls used to show quite a bit of interest in me. At one point I was considered as being one of the good looking boys in my class at school. The girls still knew I was "shy" so they were usually the ones who asked me if I wanted to go out with them. For the past few years I have been living in isolation and that's the reason I have gained so much weight. Girls haven't showed me much attention for a few years now. It's weird having everyone treating you good and then having nobody show you any attention at all. I personally don't care anymore when someone thinks I'm ugly because I know that before my rapid weight gain I was a good looking guy. I've gained weight so quickly over the past few years that I now have stretch marks all over my body.

BTW I'm badly in need of a shave.

You are good-looking. If you start getting some exercise regularly - even walking a mile or two every other day - a lot of the extra weight will probably come right off. Exercise does more than burn calories. It helps to regulate your appetite and increase your metabolism. I think it makes a bigger difference than anything else.

Thanks. The problem with me is that I think I'm too damn impatient. I used to work out but my work outs would only be steady for a month or so. I'd quit working out for a couple days and then I'd forget to work out altogether. I need to find a workout regime that works out for me, something that I enjoy. A couple years ago I would go on a stationary bike for 1 hour and after biking I'd do 200 pushups and 200 situps. I didn't seem to lose any weight but I sure as hell knew that I was a lot stronger after doing this. The reason why I wasn't losing any weight was probably because I was gaining muscle while losing fat, right? It could possibly also be the fact that I wasn't watching what I was eating while doing this though.
