I find sardines and tomato sauce to be a delicacy. And once in fifth grade, I mixed orange juice and pickle juice together and thought it tasted good! 8O

Has anyone figured out why the anchovy is the only fish with hair? That is something that has always bothered me . . . :)

As the ruling elite intend to starve out a lot of us "useless, eaters", I decided now is a good time to learn what you can eat from the wild.
So, a couple of weeks back I picked some dandelions, flowers, leaves roots and all, boiled them a bit, and eat them, they where discussting, but I didnt get sick.

Think I will keep stocking up the cans of corned beef though.

I like this thread. *Gives stamp of approval.*

Let's see... I would have to say frog leg (tasted like chicken).

Others mentioned anchovies (I have them on pizza every now and then), sauerkraut (no hot dog is complete without sauerkraut!), I like Calamari, buffalo was dry, shark was awesome, I have had small squids before, I have eaten bamboo, and I have also picked wild rye out in a field and munched on it.

I would like to try: snake, alligator, wild boar.

Buffalo when I find a place that serves it.

Oh yeah, for those that have eaten pickles and PB, is that sweet or dill pickles?

I posted this in the other thread, but I thought of a few more.

Sardines are okay, but kippers are better (on crackers or pretzels);
pickled herrings (preferably in cream sauce);
anchovies on my pizza (notice a fish pattern here...);
cottage cheese with plenty of salt and pepper (pattern broken!);
sometimes I'll eat packets of mild Border Sauce (anything hotter has chunks of peppers, gross);
I like to drink liquid creamer packets at restaurants to gross my friends out;
a lot of people think I'm weird for putting ketchup on chicken or turkey for some reason;
at soda fountains sometimes I'll make a "suicide cocktail" (mixing a bunch of different drinks together)...

In high school, the pizza was really boring, so I'd spruce it up...before I discovered Ranch dressing, I'd put pickle slices, onion, and BBQ sauce on them.

Probably the one people think is the grossest is olive loaf sandwiches with French onion chip dip spread on them. Just something about the combination that really goes together well =)

Probably not very healthy, sometimes I'll pick up random plants and eat them :oops:

But I won't eat anything seafood that isn't fish...or shark, shark's alright.

Ditto =/ Especially if it's something like chicken with bones :x I suppose that kind of makes us hypocrites :roll:

Actually, I just remembered a friend of mine, he would eat glass, we would be in a pub and all of a sudden he would just take a bite out of a pint glass and start chewing it, the glass looked so funny with a bite taken out of it.

After a while he used to spit the pieces out as he said chewing the glass enough to swallow wore out his fillings.

Another time, we where filling up are motorbikes at the petrol station and he comes out with a 500cc bottle of engine oil, we all imagined he was going to top his oil up, no, he calmly took the top off and preceeded to drink it!

weirdest thing I liked to eat as a kid was paper & ice. I also loved raw potato, preferred that over cooked potatoes any day. I don't eat any of those things anymore, haven't for years. I also liked to eat salt & baking soda...probably had some weird vitamin or mineral deficiency. I do remember just eating them by themselves & enjoying the taste. I've always had a preference for strong flavored foods except for yellow mustard. Never cared for it, & would rather use nothing if there's no alternative.

weirdest thing I have tried as an adult was jellyfish...didn't care for the flavor or the texture. I still enjoy eating sauerkraut, most veggies including spinach, sardines, kimchee, sushi, octopus/squid, oysters (raw/cooked), liver, Italian bread with olive oil is awesome, & hot & spicy foods like Indian food, Mexican food, Thai/Chinese, etc. Oh yeah I like goats milk & cheese too.

Things my dad used to push on me were beef fat (to him, it was the best part of the steak), & weird things like pickled pigs feet. Wouldn't touch that stuff with a ten foot pole. LOL He also has unusual tastes.

Especially on pork, when it gets good and crispy.

Dill, definitely. And spears sliced a couple times the long way. The hamburger slices are too thin.

we eat a ton of Buffalo in Alberta, next to beef and pork, it tends to be a little dry
since its very lean, and has a slight gamey taste, its actually cheaper here then beef.

I used to eat pancakes with mustard and syrup. Cheese pizza with thin crust is also good with mustard.

Now, I like to eat an egg scramble with sprouts, cheese, and ketchup. Yes, sprouts.

Peanut Butter and Cheese sandwiches rock.

I'll eat grape anything. Not weird yet, bt if you put them in ketchup, I still can't resist the GRAPE.

And I love Mango Tofu. I can only find it in the Chinese Buffet somewhere in town.

I'll pretty much eat any plant, egg, or dairy product, though.
