5......4........3............2...........1 are we dead yet? NOPE!

It's about smashing protons, not creating a black hole. They are trying to find a new proton that happened after the Big Bang. It won't create things about explosion and sucked in devices. The Physical World isn't about suicide and homicides. It more like 'finding' new things that we never knew of! Like years ago about the cathode rays and the people back then was scared of them. Nothing really kill us except some radiation that we have been under since Earth has started which is UV.

Because people have watched too many sci-fi movies and have no real idea what particle physics is, let alone how it works. Before everyone gets worried about black holes, google it. Start with this link:

A black hole is a superdense object that exerts so much gravity that not even light can escape it... And that its grav field has the same radius as the original object, that mater getting sucked in fuels em, theres a supermassive balck hole in the center of galixies, and that micro black holes last for nanoseconds.... Yes weve all heard it before...

I think it's good to see it up and going now. Full operation of it won't be till October sometime I think.
I'm interested in what things they find out, but it'll probably be some time before anything substantial comes up.

I'm monitoring the situation, just in case I need to dive back under my bed.
