At the moment (it's 15:26 CET); the sun is shining and a few clouds here and there. Last night/ early in the morning it snowed and it feels kind of cold (T = 0.3 C.) but I'm cool (with it).

1/7/2009 -2C Freezing rain. Expecting power loss.. so far fears not realized. Still no sign of a rescue party... Must stay warm, stay awake. In the land of ice, you never wake up again...

44 degrees F/ 7 degrees C. Rainy rainy rainy rainy. It looks like I'm living in a swamp when I go outside.

Right now it's 62°F, mostly cloudy and windy with gusts around 20mph.

The sun set at 5:42PM. Tonight's low is 44°F.

Tomorrow it's supposed to be more of the same basically, though the winds are supposed to be gustier reaching 25mph. The sun should rise at 7:24AM(I'll be asleep) and set at 5:43PM. The clouds should be clearing and the sky should be clear tomorrow night. The high is supposed to be 72° F, the low 46° F.

Decent weather.

Friday it's supposed to be sunny with a high of 66°F and a low of 49°F.

Except for the sunny bit, that sounds nice.

It's now 17:51 CET and the T = -2.1 C = 28 F (+/-). People here are skating on the ice, (not indoors). It was a nice day for it because it was sunny almost the whole day. Now it's foggy and dark.

This could be considered a typical Dutch picture. Surely in the past. We haven't had this stretch of cold days on end for years. Most Dutch folks are hoping that it will last a bit longer, i.e. the cold weather because then we could have 'the 11 cities tour or journey'.
'De Elfstedentocht'. A ice skating event (>200 km long) in Friesland (in the North of Holland) , last time possible in 1997. Dutch madness that exists for over 100 years.

Gets cold here but hardly ever ices or snows, wish it did. That looks like fun!

Today it's 25 degrees F and yesterday it was 60 F!
The weather's very dry, windy, and cold. It never fails to amaze me how quick the weather changes everyday within a season!

Yes, indeed. From 60 to 25 F, that's quite a big change.

Never (ice) skated before? Shame, 'cos surely outside (in nature) it's good fun. Here in Holland when it's freezing the sun is there quite often and everybody seem to be in a good mood. I must admit I'm not much of a skater myself. When I was young I have done it but my balance isn't very good and with skates(?) on that becomes apparent.
