Nice job, Digger. You did the right thing. Any suicide threat must be taken seriously. It's just not good to take chances. Missconstrue, I hope you are ok!

MC, if you're reading this, I have something that might help for your situation and while it doesn't really apply to you, per se...

"No words"
When your parents are gone, you're an orphan. Spouse dies, you're a widow or widower. But when you lose your baby there's no word for that.

I have friends whose baby died a few years ago and I felt badly about not sending a note or a card or something. I then took some solace in the fact that it's not a Hallmark moment. There are no words to express that kind of grief and sorrow of loosing something so precious as a baby, a baby who won't have the chance to experience the wonders of this world for the first time.

If you've lost a baby or a young loved one, you certainly have my deepest sympathies and condolences but know there are no words.

^ I can understand that. There are no words than can describe such loss.

Ditto, that was a good thing you did Digger. :)

I just hope she is alright. :(

What do you suppose are the chances of Alex updating us if he hears anything? Would that be possible? I don't mean details, but just something along the lines of if she's okay. :(

I agree, I want to know how she is no matter what he may post. Not knowing is tearing me up.

I never know what to do when someone online talks about suicide and how do I report it to authorities. Local police and they take it from there?

MissC is friends with one of my online friends.

Alex is in this forum now... maybe we'll get some answers?

Spokane - When I had to do what digger did, I called 911 and gave them as much information as I had and they took it from there. I knew the city he lived in so they connected me with a police department in that city and then I spoke with them about the information I had and they dispatched help.

In regards to an update, I would think that there are privacy issues but if we could at least hear something along the lines of "Someone has been in contact with MC's family and she will update when she feels ready" then I dont' think that breaks confidences and it lets us know she's being taken care of.

Of course, the best news would be for her to come on herself and let us know she's okay.

If something happened to anyone you love MissConstrue, you have my deepest sympathies.

I remember reading one of her posts. She claims everyone finds her annoying
and does not take her seriously. She also threatened to leave. WTH MissConstrue!

To everyone: On February 5th, the day MissConstrue signed on,
let us contribute to a "We Love MissConstrue" thread.

Let us hope she is well.

I just thought how silly we'd all look if she just signed on now and thought "WTF?"

I've got her name and where she lives.

I'm sending it to digger1 and alex.

Is anyone here from Missouri? So they could check up on her?

I'll send her an email on the chance she may respond.
