My X-Men characters
This time it isn’t a detailed profile of just one character but two teams – the idea is taken from my thread on creating teams the members of which would be collected from many different time periods from another board. I just thought mutants could be born everywhere and in any epoch and it would be wasting a great amount of cool powers if their owners were left on their own. And that’s the result:
I:
1.Agnes Folsham, codename Hard Drive, 25 y/o, born in 1571 in England into a farmer family. An example of a person who wouldn’t ever discover she was so different than others if not a coincidence due to her being born in the past. She was detected by our time traveler capable of detecting the X-Gene and taken into our times but didn’t show any mutant abilities until after long tests checking what her power could be, she was showed a computer. It turned out she could steal any information from the computer via mere touch and mentally communicate with any machine making it behave as she wanted to.
2.Ocotosh, codename The Dream King, 24 y/o, born in 380 BC in the Olmec tribe. He is capable of entering others’ dreams and manipulating them. He caused the extinction of the Olmecs by scaring them to death with nightmares they all started to dream and as a result making them leave the areas where they lived due to his lack of control over his gift.
3.Richard De Luca, codename Ghost, 20 y/o, born in 1904 in Chicago. A hitman working for Johnny Torrio’s gang. He discovered his ability to become invisible when another gang’s members were trying to kill him.
4.Arvor, codename Undead, 19 y/o, a Cro-Manion teen living 23 000 years ago in the area of modern Romania. Control over anything dead, he can create zombies out of people and animals (usually previously killed by him, let’s add) and manipulate them, making them follow his orders.
5.Tuti, codename Toxic, 18 y/o, a self-appointed “queen” of the south of Sulawesi island (Indonesia) at the turn of the 9th century. She is able to morph into a living, extremely poisonous or caustic (depending on her will) gas and slide into her victim’s lungs causing their death. She also threatened that she’d poison all the sources of drinking water if people didn’t worship her and ever dared to run away. The islanders recognized her as their goddess, scared of her power and too scared to run from her cruel reign.
6.Auguste Desmarais, codename Pretender, 26 y/o, a shapeshifting con man and an ex-soldier from the period of the Napoleonic Wars.
7.Eirene Balsomina, codename Statue, 16 y/o, a daughter of a wealthy aristocratic family from the Byzantine Empire, born in 1012 and locked by her family when her mutation became visible. Her whole body permanently turned into a kind of dark, practically indestructible stone when she hit puberty. She doesn’t need to eat nor breathe and due to her stone body she doesn’t feel any pain and is superhumanly strong. Possibly also immortal, assuming that nobody will ever crush her body (which would be really hard, anyway).
II:
1.Siban O’Hickey, codename Artist, 21 y/o, a young spiritual nun born in 1190 in Ireland, endowed with an immense artistic talent. In fact, she was so talented that her drawings actually literally came to life, scaring other nuns from her monastery and arousing suspicions she was in league with the Devil. Artist has photographic memory in addition to her basic mutant gift which causes that she never forgets what she saw in the past to be able to draw this. She can control characters she created.
2. Kuenre, codename Catman, 17 y/o, born in Egypt in 653 BC, a foundling raised by the priests of a temple of Bastet as a living incarnation of the goddess because the boy was born with an animal mutation, to be more precise, with one giving him physical attributes of a domestic cat. It grants him cat-like agility, very fast reflexes and sharpened senses. His body is partially covered with thin tabby fur, his facial features resemble those of a cat, he also has a tail and his hands and feet have long sharp claws.
3. Apollofanes, codename Lifespan, 15 y/o, a homeless Greek boy earning a living by begging for money on the streets of Cyrene in Libya in the beginning of the second century CE. He can change the age of any living being he comes into contact with via physical contact.
4. Chumana, codename Machine, 27 y/o, a Hopi Indian who, having died in childbirth in 1909, woke up in her grave a couple of days after the funeral and realized that her rotting flesh revealed her metal bones. She’s basically like the cyborgs from the Terminator movies in case you are curious how she looks like – her powerful metal endoskeleton she is now used to be covered by living tissue. She’s superstrong and such biological functions of living organisms like breathing, eating etc. don’t apply to her metal body now.
5. Amago Tomoe, codename Cancer, 17 y/o, a young Japanese female whose time period she lived in fell on the second half of the 18th century. Her whole body is made of cancerous cells. She is virtually a living cancer, able to regenerate every body part but the process she isn’t able to control is that her mutated body is producing new cells all the time which causes that she is forced to “shed skin” (more exactly, her whole body) approximately once every three to four weeks, leaving her old body behind. Tomoe is able to detect people suffering from cancer as well.
6. Jaroslav Slavata, codename Plural, 24 y/o, a Czech farmer born in 1640, able to absorb other people’s bodies into his own body at will – their brains are destroyed then, it’s like they died mentally but their bodies are absorbed by Plural and exist in him – he can summon each one such a person at will – when he is doing it, his own, personal brain waves get their place in those brainless bodies’ minds – he suddenly finds himself in this body and can control it totally (if he happened to absorb a mutant, he’d have control over their powers too) – brainwaves of the previous owner were erased so this body belongs to him now. Regardless of how many bodies he has absorbed, there can be only one body he is using so he can be a man, a woman, black, white, Asian, old, young depending on which body he chooses to “wear”.
7. Astrid, codename Drug, 22 y/o. Taken from Denmark in 986 AD. Her power is that her presence becomes an addiction – the more time you spend within close proximity to her, the more her aura is like crack or heroin and those nearby become hopelessly hooked on her, sometimes, if only she wishes for this, to the point that the very lives of her followers entirely depend on their being close to her. She uses it to force people to follow her whims.
1. Oseye, codename Reborn, 28 y/o, born in 1599, a slave woman, as a child abducted from The Kingdom of Dahomey she originally came from and sold to Brazil as a slave. As an adult she was sold again, this time to a woman who was a lesbian and as such overused the power she had over Oseye, forcing her to have s. ex with her. One day the slave, taking an attempt to defend herself from her owner, accidentally killed her and was in turn killed herself by people from her town for this when her fault was discovered. She came back to life a couple of minutes later… and teleported away, finding herself in a distant, safe place where no one could find and hurt her. It’s how she discovered her power for the first time. Some weeks later after her miraculous resurrection, still hiding, she accidentally ate poisonous food she found and died again only to wake up again finding out she wasn’t able to teleport any more but could manipulate weather instead. Reborn has an untypical power – every time she dies, she is resurrected with a new, different power ranging from minor to extraordinary (losing the old power). She is aging normally so one day she’ll simply die of an old age like everybody else and won’t be resurrected with a new mutant gift any more – but that’s the secret nobody can know for sure.
2. Helen Carr, codename Geo, 24 y/o, a woman born with a visible mutation - blue hair, born in 1823 in Louisiana, USA whom her contemporaries were afraid of for this reason. She’s a terrakinetic of a very high level, able to manipulate the classic elements of earth. Her brother was a doctor and Helen provided him with fresh bodies he needed, using her power to get them out of their graves. Being very lonely and treated with distrust due to her unusual looks, she took the bodies of men who recently died in her town from their graves to spend some time with them as their cold bodies were the best substitute of a real lover she could ever expect to have.

Name: Monifa and Sade Adebayo
Classification: Gamma level mutants
Codename: Psyche (for Sade) and Soma (for Monifa)
Sex: Females
Age: 16
Height– 163 cm/ Weight – 55 kg – for Monifa; in the case of Sade – those parameters are inapplicable
Hair – black, slightly wavy, fringe and a ponytail/ Eyes- dark brown – for Monifa; in the case of Sade – those parameters are inapplicable as her “hair” and “eyes” are made of pure energy and golden
Race/Ethnicity– Black/Yoruba Nigerian
Affiliation: Each other and the Chain
Location – Lagos, Nigeria
Personality Monifa is a silent and calm average person who can be described as just an addition to her sister. She’s much more passive than Sade; she’s a type of follower. Sade wants power, is active and likes control but besides her unusual origin and appearance, she’s just your typical teenage girl when it comes to her reactions and ways of seeing the world.
Powers:
- Soma: capable of establishing mental communication with her twin
- Psyche: unusual physiology, capable of establishing mental communication with her twin, detecting mutants, capable of performing a mild form of possession, superhuman memory due to her ability to search for any information in the brain belonging to her sister which stores everything.
Backstory: Monifa and Sade Adebayo live in Lagos, Nigeria, enjoying the cozy life of the children of famous Nollywood stars. They are twins, which on the surface doesn’t seem anything out of ordinary. Also the fact of their powers being connected, working when both the girls are in physical contact with each other isn’t unusual in any way, as many mutant twins’ powers work like that. What is unusual is the kind of their mutation and the way in which the Nigerian sisters are connected. Monifa and Sade, though twin siblings, are the opposites of each other which in ordinary circumstances wouldn’t be very surprising either but in this very case this simple statement goes far beyond how it is normally understood. Sade is the dominant twin but Monifa is the older one. Older by 15 years. Monifa is the body, Sade is the soul.
Just like in the case of overwhelming majority of mutants before their powers manifested, Monifa’s early life – twinless life - was perfectly ordinary as well. Nobody expected that there ever could be something unusual about the girl, either then or later in life. She didn’t have the makings of someone who could ever become unusual in any way, that was which everybody who knew her, agreed with. As young Monifa grew up, it became obvious the girl wasn’t going to be a titan of intellect. Dull-witted and slow, no, not suffering from any kind of mental handicap; her IQ was low but still in the normal intelligence range, little Miss Adebayo didn’t belong to people with whom others were willing to talk about more serious matters than what was on TV. Until of course they felt perfectly satisfied with a reply starting with: “Ekhem… what?” Her sister Uduak, though 4 years younger than her, was much smarter. Monifa’s favorite activities had nothing to do with reading and thinking about more intellectual stuff than what she should bring herself from the fridge now or what skirt she should wear today. Other topics you’d like to raise with her were just too tiresome and boring for her. She spent the majority of her free time in front of her TV set, passively watching cartoons and silly sitcoms. It was like no spirit was animating the shell of her body. The girl was always apathetic and very taciturn. Her school marks were poor which disappointed her parents who focused on their younger daughter instead.
That was what the first 15 years of her life looked like. Until one evening, when having just gone to bed, the teen heard a silent voice that seemed to talk to her inside her own head. And later she saw a golden, opalising shape near her bed, seeming to have painlessly come out of herself – appearing to be not completely material silhouette of another teenager, rather vague but still visible enough for Monifa to see she was a girl with African facial features, physically resembling herself a lot, almost as if the golden, ghost-like newcomer to her bedroom was her sister. Monifa felt like some part of herself left her, separating from her. The mysterious girl smiled at her and disappeared, as if vanishing into thin air. And the teen heard this voice again, as if the owner of it was trying to communicate with her. The next thing Monifa, too scared to even try to scream, did was run to her parents’ room, to try to explain what just happened to her. They didn’t believe her, sending their daughter to her bed, convinced the silly girl had a scary dream she mistook for reality. Scared Monifa came back to her bedroom, trying to hide under the quilt to separate herself from any golden ghosts which would feel like haunting her this evening. And then the bodiless voice that seemed to come from the inside of her own head spoke to the girl cowering under her quilt one more time. Misunderstood by her parents, she had only one thing to do – lay and listen to what it was talking about to her.
The voice, which seemed to belong to a teenage girl, explained to Monifa what was happening. Or at least what she – because the voice referred to itself as a female – thought what was happening. Monifa was a mutant. They both were mutants. Mutant twins, to be more precise. Some people have twin siblings, sometimes some of them even happen to have Siamese twins but Monifa due to her mutation she didn’t realize until then, was a rare case of a person whose twin sister hid inside her own body. Body and mind were not connected in her case, creating the perfect whole as it looks like in normal people. She was the body while her newly discovered twin who just a couple of days ago got self awareness and before she decided to reveal the secret of her existence before her sister, was busy gathering information on the world by accessing the subconscious knowledge stored in her older sister’s mind, was the mind – the bodiless pure mind. It was what at least the “mind twin” thought they were, as said previously. Combing the content of the “body twin’s” brain, she stumbled upon the information on the existence of mutants – people who could do things far beyond the possibilities of ordinary human beings. The newborn mind who one day just woke up, knowing nothing of what she was, came to the conclusion that the mutant theory was a good explanation of what was happening. Ordinary humans aren’t, after all, divided into two halves but for a mutant a thing like that didn’t seem impossible – mutations are very varied.
The aforementioned, as stated, are connected – their powers complete each other. They share one brain which causes that Sade – that’s the name the “younger twin” finally chose for herself – has instant access to all the subconscious knowledge ever stored in the brain belonging to Monifa whose body is a dwelling for Sade. Whatever one of them knows, the other one knows as well. Sade can’t live out of her sister’s body but for very short periods of time – not longer than 3 or 4 minutes after which she’s forced to return to her sister’s body to recharge for at least half an hour until she’s able to come out again. When she’s out, she takes a form others are able to see – this immaterial form of delicately pulsating, mist like golden silhouette Monifa saw near her bed when she met Sade for the very first time – and then the sisters can’t communicate telepathically. Sade’s powers, apart from her physical mutation which shows itself in her form being pure energy, consist of the ability to detect mutants and the one to control people’s brains, human and mutant ones alike. She can do it by putting fragments of the golden, glistening matter her body is made of in their heads which they don’t realize. People controlled by her in this way can’t be fully controlled unlike it takes place in the case of many other mutants – they only get more susceptible to mental suggestions, their will, criticism and logical reasoning get weakened when Sade mentally activates the parts of herself present in their minds. Another mutant powers Sade possesses are – of course – her ability to communicate telepathically with her sister who is the only person with whom she can communicate in this way and whose thoughts she can read and her very high intelligence which consists mostly in her superhuman memory.
Sade though isn’t a kind of an evil genius. She’s very intelligent (but it’s a “normal” high intelligence, not being on a superhuman level because only seeming much more so due to her capability of keeping in mind every piece of knowledge she ever was exposed to), remembering everything she ever had an occasion to hear or read in her “body twin’s” mind, but, strange as it seems, she’s mentally only a typical teen (if the notion of “typical” when we have to do with a being like herself is applicable), being a creation of an ordinary teen’s mind. If she was a normal teenage girl of flesh and blood, she would be described as just a very smart though normal capricious adolescent, being a type of leader whom her sister follows.
Monifa got visibly smarter after sister’s sudden appearance. The body element and the mind one, divided for many years, finally became united. No, she didn’t become a genius - just a person of average intelligence level – but the change was very visible. Her parents were very glad because of this sudden change in their daughter who started to enjoy learning and became more interesting. Glad – because the real reason of it wasn’t ever revealed by her and her sisters – Sade and Uduak who was the only person let into the secret.
If we don’t count the Chain Links in, at least. Monifa gets good grades now in her school which is the famous Queen’s College in Lagos – all female students school, educating 3000 teenage girls. Sade’s power easily detected some other mutants in there. There were some girls with minor powers Sade rejected as useless but a couple of the mutants did have strong and useful mutant gifts she thought could be used by her and her sister. The sisters created a small group of girls who could meet and discuss important things, gathering knowledge which later could come in handy when they were adult. Sade being a leader of all of them, hit upon an idea that in their small circle they could educate each other on important problems to be able to take high offices in their country in the future to change it for the better – a hard thing to achieve for a woman in there but not impossible – especially when a woman is determined and highly educated. Sade placed the fragments of the matter creating her mist like body in their brains about which they don’t know, making them into perfect tools of her – of the power hungry, unusual energy being teen with an excess of ambition. Sade controls them in this unknown to them, subtle manner – like she placed the fragments of her body in their minds with a cold iron hand in a glove made of the most delicate silk. They are the Chain’s links – it’s what the group got named by them – The Chain, because just like chains consist of links, connected with each other, the members of this small group are connected, sharing their knowledge and to some extent knowing what is happening to each of them, due to the fragments of Sade which permanently got stuck in their minds. They don’t know they are controlled by the more power hungry half of the twin duo, though.
And these are the Links of the Chain:
Mojisola Chukwu – 17 y/o, powers: enhanced physical attributes – super strength, stamina and durability
Wuraola Omotoso – 16 y/o, powers: self healing
Oluwayemisi Madu – 15 y/o, powers: controlling electricity
Folami Eze – 15 y/o, powers: acid blasts
Jumoke Taiwo – 14 y/o, powers: invisibility
Remember those names, the same as the names of Monifa and Sade Adebayo – the names of the future country leaders and businesswomen. One day you will hear about them.
-----------------------------------------------
And the other members of the time travellers team
1.Kasif (the original personality), Sabiha, Nusayba, Dananir and Hala bint Bundar, codename Quintuplet, 17 y/o. Born in Persia in 899 CE, the sisters share one body and one mind. Their mind creates a dimension they have full control over and they can summon people and things in there – they appear in there physically but the quintuplets themselves can get to this dimension of their only mentally and that’s the only way for them to meet each other. All the sisters share also one body – when one of them controls it, her sisters don’t exist, in that time they just vanish but they can reappear in every moment when summoned by their sibling who in turn disappears herself then until she’s summoned again. They don’t share the knowledge gathered by the rest until they take a mental trip to their dimension and ask the rest of the sisters about what they found out and what happened when they controlled their body. The body shared by them all looks the same all the time, regardless of which girl’s personality is in it, one could recognize which sister is a guest of the body now, only judging by her behavior. Kasif is the one who was normally born to her parents, the personalities of her “sisters” emerged later on. Kasif, the original one, is intelligent, calm and serious, somehow a nerd type. Sabiha is flirtatious and outgoing and her behaviors tend to be childish. Nusayba can be recognized by the fact that she gets angry easily and then sends whoever became the reason of her anger to their mind dimension where she torments them. Dananir is calm and feminine – a kind of a sophisticated lady from higher classes while Hala is a tomboy.
2. Stjepan Sikirica, codename Absorber, 23 y/o, a native of the town of Garestin, Croatia from the 14th century. Born with spinal muscular atrophy and bedridden, at some point of his life discovered he was able to absorb inorganic material of any kind which partially became a part of his own body, encasing it and giving him superior strength. He was able to walk again with his legs covered with stone.
3. Lorenzo Tanto, codename Fogman, 28 y/o. He’s from Italy and survived the Black Death plague from 1348. People from his town tried to kill him because he was known as an occultist in there and they thought he was responsible for the plague. He killed them all by making his fog caustic. He can create white fog and manipulate its density to some degree which lets him move things using it (Lorenzo can push people or pieces of furniture with it but not bigger things). Another application of the fog is making it caustic (not for Fogman himself) or causing that people within its reach will experience emotions the fog maker wishes: fear, euphoric ecstasy, sadness, disgust, tranquility. It’s also possible to change the fog’s colors and shapes – no practical use but it looks cool.
4. Charity Jordison, codename Thoughtstream, 20 y/o, a young seamstress who lived in London in the 17th century. She is the team’s telepath. She thought her powers were a gift from God who wanted her to help others in this way which caused her to mentally influence wealthy people to share their money with the poor.
5. Henrietta Mae Lutz, codename Disappearance, 27 y/o, one of the biggest stars of the silent movie epoch, born in 1895 and abducted from her time in 1922. As her codename indicates, she can make people and inanimate matter within the close proximity of her body disappear by sending them into some sort of dimension where they are stored until she decides to summon them again; time doesn’t pass in there and even if she decided to bring them after thirty years, they’d still look like at the moment of their disappearance, not remembering anything what happened to them, sure they were absent only for a second. Henrietta Mae doesn’t know herself what happens to those she sends away and until she summons them again, she has no chance to contact them in the place where they are. This is one of the main differences between her power and this of the quintuplets.
6. Behun, codename Time Master, 15 y/o, born in the 7th century as a member of the European Avars. He has the ability to open time portals using which, the boy traveled through time to take things he found in other epochs and places as a time travelling robber until he was recruited.
7. Razin ibn Sulaym al- Hallaj, codename Black Wing, 28 y/o, a Persian jurist born in 1570. His whole body is covered with numerous, irregular black spots, a bit resembling black butterflies, approximately almost as big as a baby’s hand. When Razin feels like recharging himself with a new portion of energy refreshing his physical and mental strength or getting others’ knowledge, memories and abilities (also mutant abilities) for a short time (they leave him after not more than an hour), he releases his spots which, leaving their places on his skin, start to fly like real black butterflies towards people, sucking their life energy, knowledge or mutant powers out of them by placing themselves on their bodies, not killing them but the people feel more or less weakened physically. Having taken his “butterflies” into his body, Razin becomes chalk white and his eyes get completely black for about a minute before he’s able to use the energy he just sucked out of his victims. Sometimes his “butterflies” leave his body on their own when he is weakened or ill to get him some new energy.
8. Ponui, codename Fluid, 14 y/o. He lived on the Rapa Nui island at the turn of the 16th century. A very powerful hydrokinetic, capable of controlling water and turning his own body into sentient liquid. His secret wish was getting out of the island which, isolated from any other places of human settlement, was a trap to him so the boy used to spend a lot of time swimming in the waters surrounding the island as living water he turned into, practicing to get full control over his powers to leave the island one day.
9. Ashley Simon, codename Freezer, 26 y/o. Unlike the other team members, she is from the future. Born in 1279, this young scientist being a mutant possessing the uncontrollable ability to freeze stuff (due to which she is forced to permanently wear a special suit, preventing her from freezing everything) traveled in time to the distant past in her time machine but something went terribly wrong and the woman accidentally froze the whole Earth, causing the snowball Earth theory come true. Before they got her out from there and took into our times, Ashley spent there a couple of weeks in her damaged by the ice, time machine, having the supply of food she needed but this experience disturbed her mental health. Freezer, due to her PTSD, is very nervous which releases her powers in the most unexpected moments when she’s under pressure.
10.Robert Maxwell, codename Poison Man, 22 y/o. Coming from Scotland, he was sent to Australia as a prisoner in 1819 when he was caught stealing. He lived in poverty; stealing food let him survive. His body is a store for a lethal poison his blood produces all the time. He can release the poison through the openings on the tips of his fingers which he did for the first time during the brawl with another prisoner.
Add some yours
I got bored with creating mine so maybe it's someone else who will be able to add anything new
1. Aran, codename Parrot, 21 y/o. Possess an animal mutation. Born in an Amazon Rainforest tribe far from civilization in the 19th century. When she was an adolescent, she grew claws and a pair of colorful, parrot-like wings, due to which fact she was forced to fly away from her small secluded village in the heart of the rainforest because the superstitious villagers thought her to be a goddess. They were afraid of her and though they respected her a lot, she wasn’t one of them. She soon felt very alone and bored with the homage paid to her and decided to leave the village to experience something new. Though she got a separate hut built for her by the villagers and all the men wanted to be with her, she spent a lot of time on her own from that time, flying over the forest that became her home. Another feature of Aran’s mutation is the fact she can lay eggs. They are gelatinous, the size of a hen’s egg but when fertilized, they will very quickly start to grow together with the baby inside. If such an egg will be kept in a warm place, after approximately two weeks a baby will hatch. Aran’s eyesight and sense of smell and hearing are also much better than ordinary humans’ ones. Without any training, Parrot’s much more agile than ordinary humans too but not to the point where it could be considered something more suspicious than agility of a very fit person. Aran has also a magnetic sense which helps her find her way when she’s lost. The girl can communicate with birds to some extent too, being able to understand them and their behavior. She’s warm-blooded and can live even in such temperatures where normal humans wouldn’t be able to live because those would be too cold or hot for them.
2. Giovanni Albizzi, codename Cloud, 25 y/o. A young decadent politician and spy belonging to one of the most prominent Florentine families from the 14th century. His ability allows him to transform his body into a sentient cloud which he used to spy on people not suspecting that the cloud above their heads was overhearing them.
3. Sighvatr and Bragi Loftsson, codename Seers, 22 y/o. Siamese twins living in the 12th century in Iceland as mild and subtle travelling skalds performing courtly poetry on courts. They gained huge popularity due to their being conjoined by hips. Sighvatr can see the future, Bragi – the past. Many of their poems and songs were based on their visions. They were treated with great respect as seers and many people treated them as blessed by God who gave them the right to see the things that were or would be.
4. Rozalia Kondrat, codename Cuckoo, 22 y/o. A young Pole born in the early 20th century who had the psyche transferring ability (think Mindmeld) and used it to swap bodies with those whose bodies she liked more - just for fun. She particularly fancied the idea of transfering her brainwaves into the brains of young children from wealthy families because in this way their parents took care of her, thinking she was their child. When the child grew up a bit, she left the body finding the next victim. (I stole the name for this character from a really existing person; the real Rozalia was my grandpa's much younger sister who at 28 died in the result of childbirth complications).
Here's one mutant whom I've recently made up.
"Rocket"
Real Name: Helena Hoffman
Hair Color: Blonde
Eye Color: Blue
Race/Ethnicity: White (German)
Powers: Helena has superhuman acrobatic skills and agility. She is able to jump up to extreme heights, as well as fall from extreme heights without hurting herself. She has excellent balance (she can balance atop a flag pole and a tight rope, among other things). She is also super flexible, being able to bend and stretch almost any body part without breaking a bone. Her agility makes her excellent with combat.
Origin of Powers: Helena was always climbing trees as a little girl. One day, as she was climbing a particularly tall tree, she fell. Her parents were amazed to discover that, despite the tall height that she fell from, she was completely unhurt.
Bio: Helena displayed various aspects of her abilities as a little girl, much to her parents' amazement. At a young age, her parents had her put in a circus, wherein she earned the nickname "The Rocket" and became hugely popular among crowds. Helena had been performing in the circus well into her teenage years, and had never really thought of her unique abilities as being characteristic of a mutant, although she did acknowledge them as being very abnormal.
Personality: Helena has a very competitive nature. She loves sports and gymnastics, and is somewhat tomboyish (although her ulterior feminine side does show at times as well). She is very assertive, headstrong, and doesn't take any crap from others.
