Pfff, I'd eat a cat, dog, canary, guiny pig, etc. if I knew how to cook it properly. It's hard to find cookbooks with good recipes for those animals.

Anyone else have a real problem with vegetarians. They seem to be so high and mighty and who are they to tell us we cant eat meat. If people could not eat meat how would the Eskimos in Alaska survive. Im a meat eater and dont go preaching meat eating as the ultimate so then why should vegetarians.

f**k you!

LOL

What about those who eat meat in front of vegetarians saying, "mmm, meat! You sure don't want to try a bit?" and so on. Those that do that are as bad as the vegetarians that proclaim no-one else should eat meat either.

I am a vegetarian on the basis, I don't eat meat, but I don't judge anyone else for eating meat.

same here. I don't preach, as I know all too well that it is human nature to eat meat. I wish that meateaters would pressure the industry into more humane treatment of animals though. after all poor quality of the meat and things like BSE or swine flu were caused by poor standards int he farming industry. so it involves us all, not just those who munch on McD's.

Plants are alive too. You attack plants when you eat vegetables. I'm a proud omnivore.

yeah well, define "alive". they don't have a central nervous system, so they feel no pain. they also are complately unaware.

One of my room mates recently went vegetarian. So we cook a lot of bacon now and she comes in and goes "eeeeeeeeeeew". XD;;; WTF, last month she loved bacon. It's kind of hilarious.

I don't see why it has to be all or nothing. There are several good reasons not to eat a TON of meat, but the animals we eat are big! A cow or two a year is no big deal, IMO.

I love the smell of bacon. I love veggie bacon, it's texture is a lot nicer than that of the real thing. I could never eat the real thing because of the texture, I used to just smell it LOL

Really, it's good? (Unlike tofurky?) I'm curious now, maybe I'll have to try it. XD I do like the texture of regular bacon though.

yeah, it tastes the same to me, but I've never really tasted real bacon lol. it tastes the way I imagined bacon to taste. I love it, especially with eggs :)

It's as simple as this:

I eat meat, but I don't judge others.
If a vegetarian/vegan judges me, they can shove that bloody carrot up their arse. :P

I'm a Vegetarian yes, and proud of it yes :D

Even coming from me; I can't stand the preachy Vegetarians who think it's murder (no pun) to eat meat. If you enjoy eating it, then who are we to tell you not to?

My diet happens to be more vegetarian (and in some ways vegan) than anything -- but I do eat salmon from time to time, so I suppose this makes me a pescetarian.

I don't shove it in the faces of others to not eat meat though; I only do not eat it because I don't like it so much to begin with (not a fan of red meat at all) and for health reasons, too. People can eat what they wish to eat, and if they want to not eat meat it is their own choice. :o For somebody I really care for, I might say something if they eat red meat/junk all the time.. just since I'd want them to be healthier. But I would never force my choice of living on anyone.. I'm sure they are already aware of what vegetarians often preach. ><
