Same here [and to the part irish bit].
English, not British, some [nothing to do with wp] seem to make it sound like an offense to class self as English, but will
offer scottish, welsh and irish as a choice.

The U.S.--but I'd feel out of place anywhere. Any other country would throw me out. But I've been here 43 years and the people still haven't taken to me.

I'm British.

I wonder why the number of Brits is so close to the number of Americans, even though Britain is only about the size of a single American state. 8O

Another other here. Needless to say where I'm from.

(little hint though.... I'm standing on a dike, (the geographical thing that is), looking at a windmill, totally stoned (duh, hi windmill), carry tulips everywhere I go (in my hair) and doing a little dance on my.... wooden shoes. Yep, that would be me all the way.)

:D

I really like the tendency that I see here, for European people to class themselves as other, without pointing out the nationality :D a true European spirit!

(and we all know the Brits are not *real* Europeans  )

Although Britain is very small in area, the population density is much greater and the total
population of Britain is almost 1/4 that of USA. Also,in this type of poll we'll probably find that
non-Americans are more inclined to take notice and participate.
