Beer in the bars is not particularly cheap these days (it is for the Finns, who make their way over from Helsinki in their droves in order to stock up on beer that is far cheaper in Estonia than in Finland due to the very high alcohol taxation policies pursued by the Finnish government). Don't get me wrong, it's cheaper than the UK (expect to pay anything from £2.20 to £3.00 a pint (upscaled from 500ml, which is the usual serving, to the British 'pint' which is 568ml and converted from EUR into GBP), more in the city centre. A lot of places charge £3.50 a pint there.
Many of the sex clubs, other nightclubs and bars in the city centre are dodgy, ripping off tourists by the bucketload. There was a story going around there whilst we were there of two blokes who went for a beer at a bar next door to a sex club and were charged £9.60 per pint! The main tourist streets are best avoided for this and other reasons. For instance, my mother had a plate of chicken kiev in a restaurant just outside the old town and paid £3.55 for it. A restaurant we passed on the main tourist street proudly charged £12 for the exact same meal!
There are a lot of cruise ships there but to be honest I think a place like Tallinn is well-suited to it because of its size and lack of other things to do.

I think that basically covers it. Tallinn? Two days is enough.

I've seen Tallinn and have no desire to go back. Helsinki? I'd revisit now if I had the money!
