Today I learned that if you don't know what to call a fruit, call it an apple

I'd call it what it is - an unidentified fruit.

Hang on, have you been reading about the Adam and Eve story? That's got an unidentified fruit in it that a lot of people call an apple. It wasn't a fruit at all, it was a symbol for the acquisition of the knowledge that led to the agricultural revolution and the fall of Man. Seemed like such a good idea at the time, agriculture.

I prefer The Kinks over Schultz.

During the covid pandemic, about 300 people in Islam died and about a thousand more became ill because they ingested methanol, which they thought, wrongly, would cure or prevent covid.

Methanol is extremely toxic and can cause blindness and kidney failure, but that hasn't stopped many people from ingesting it, usually because they thought it was a good substitute for ethanol-based drinks. If they thought at all. Or they took it for the above reason because if something is on the internet it must 100% be true.

When I was a kid I saw an episode of The Flintstones where Fred buys a piano for Wilma on their wedding anniversary (which he only remembers because it's on the day he takes out the trash) from a shady guy called 88 Fingers Louie. And that's how I learned that pianos have 88 keys.

Who says cartoons aren't educational?

I had seen real pianos as a kid, but never bothered to count the keys. I really should have, but I was only interested in their making music.

Ironically, the antidote to methanol is ethanol.

If you can keep the methanol from being metabolized into formaldehyde the patient will eliminate it eventually. Ethanol has a higher affinity for the enzyme that metabolizes both of them, so essentially keeping the patient's liver busy with ethanol prevents the methanol from being metabolized into formaldehyde.

Me taking an anti-asthma medication will immediately gives me shaky like symptoms.

Why am I in an anti-asthma medication? Because screw the respiratory infection prone organs I happened to possess.

It's a very familiar symptom.
Too frequently I dealt during my late teenage years and earlier 20s.

I mistook it for poor sleep quality symptom before, when it's a seperate thing. Or a caffeine effect extended past a week after consuming one, when it's largely irrelevant.
Thankfully, no fool mistook it for anxiety eh? That I was damn right about it, too, in hindsight affirmed what I knew then.

It's having to lose to not have enough in my body potassium. Gave me this shakiness and a subtle restless like symptom.

It was gone around few years ago -- the shakiness, the leg cramps. I tried to just eat enough bananas along with other fruits.

It returned again as soon as I took the medication.

To compensate, I would be needing to consume 2-3 large newly riped bananas per 2mg of whatever that was along with a mixture drink that I need to take a liter throughout the day.

 While I don't mind taking on around 5-8 bananas a day in addition to whatever liter worth of liquid in attempt to balance my electrolytes...
... I mind spending more time in the bathroom everyday and spending 200php per 2-3 days.

I've done this before.
Except I really have to, lest I risk fatal levels myself if only taking one tablet of something like this puts me back into that state. I hate that shaky feeling.

It better be only 3 days long. :x

Mnemonites/Amish are running puppy mills and keeping the dogs in horrible conditions...while numerous dogs are constantly killed in shelters across the US. How Christian of them.

April 15 will be forever known as Jackie Robinson Day in Major League Baseball.

Since its inception in 2007, Jackie Robinson Day has been held in high esteem in the baseball world. It's the day that the country acknowledges No. 42, Jackie Robinson. Jackie was the man who broke MLB's "color barrier" and helped to pave the way for racial equality in the United States.

His #42 jersey was retired from all of MLB, except on the day that he is honored. On Jackie Robinson Day everyone who loves him and baseball wears his #42 jersey.
