I haven't learnt anything new yet today.

Well, ok, I was mistaken for someone else at work today, and as a result I learnt that I am apprently the spitting image of some unfortunate guy in my workplace, if that counts. I don't know who this guy is though.

I learned that fellow WP member dwoolridge is actually a girl. This caused a huge misunderstanding and now my foot is lodged squarely in my mouth.

I've learned to stand up for myself, when somebody here posts nasty things about overweight people.

Today, I learned that Neil Young has been - and still is - married to the same woman all his adult life.
That is more than 35 years.
I was pleased to hear that, I didn't know.

I've learned that I don't have to be watching the Olympics, every waking moment of the day, and it does me some good, to turn the TV off and pursue my other special interests.

I just learnt a new (new to me) English/American idiom: "to cut the mustard" :)

I also learnt that I could as well have written "learned" instead of "learnt", both are correct.
... But I'm not sure if I put the "as well" in the right place.
