Howdie all :)

Glad to see you managed to survive your ordeal Raleigh :)
Did the weather at least hold off for them a little?

Howdie Froya :) Nice to see you back into your painting :)

^^ Painting has slowed down a little.
I was unwell for a while.
Painted my pantry doors a lovely light blue which I mixed myself.
I labeled it "Raleigh Blue" and felt quite special having something named after me, even if I named it myself.

So are you all finished now?
That must feel good.

Ha, the weather was terrible.
They had a marquee type thing set up and it was flapping so loudly in the wind it was difficult to hear anything.
And I was afraid it was going to take off any minute.
They had to keep tightening the ropes.
It was a sensory nightmare for the autistic guest.
So I had to deaden my senses with alcohol, which was a mistake.

Cool!
I would have done the same myself if I where to start all over again, as I'm not a hundred percent satisfied with the colors I could choose from.

I think what's remaining is curtains or blinds in the kitchen. Putting in a shower cabinet in the bathroom. Also thinking about buying a carpet for the living room. Yes, it feels good, but it was also ok having something to do when I was painting you know.

Yes, I know what you mean about the "having something to do."
Do you find you have a bit of a low when you finish a project?
Like, it's nice to see it completed but you also think, "What am I going to do now?"

I made some cloud curtains for my kitchen - blue, beige and white stripes - but out of a very gauzey, light material.
Also looking for a nice rug to replace the one in the lounge room.

I'm going North tomorrow so I may not be around too much for a couple of weeks.

We're leaving tomorrow for four days. Then, probably in September, we're going up to my aunt and uncle's farm to look at the house next door to theirs--I'm so hoping that we all will like it.

Yes, exactly! So you are also like that. I havn't really started on anything new yet.

The curtains sounds pretty. I assume it's satisfying sowing them yourself :) I sold the sowing machine this spring :P so I will not be doing that. However Anne sows curtains for a living, and it's cheap too, so her company can do it.
