If I thought I was popular here, I would leave.

I hate to say this but WP is a popularity contest just like the right planet.
Some people get more attention than others. That's why I am starting the Unpopular club.

There are a few rules.

1.Try to notice everyone in this thread.
2. Comment on the post of less popular members.
3. If someone is ignored then try to make them feel better about themselves.
4. If a post is personal then consider responding.
5. Be yourself and don't change to become popular on an internet forum.

This forum needs more emotion and empathy and if makes you unpopular than screw popularity.
I need to start following my own advice.

If you don't follow all of the rules then you will not be excluded.
There will be no club leader. I certainly don't want to lead anything.
All members have social equality. The popular members can join too because they may have no control over it.

i like the version by john farnham (an australian performer). he has exceptional control over his voice and i like the structure of the song and i would like to play it myself.

but for me, one is not a lonely number. one is the only number.

this to me is about the magic of the theory of the minds of others. it is a very NT song but i very much like the musical structure, and i can understand from my perspective that it is an NT sentiment about the conduct of their lives.

i do wish to aspire to be able to communicate with their world, and i like the music (if not completely the words), so that is a start.

maybe i can play a very complicated rendition of this structure (but 9 notes on my key board are dead (due to heavy pounding) but maybe someone may like it.

"don't you know it's magic" is what i believe is the response that people would tell me when asked how they know instinctively what others feel. the visual content of this youtube video is in my opinion a wanky idolatory pictorial testament to the singer, but it is well to not look at the visual component of the song

Dear b9, the video is blocked....
Could you possibly tell us the name of the song and artist and I can try to find it on YouTube?

i do not know which song you are referring to.
the first song on the previous page is "one is the loneliest number" which i posted in response to another persons comment that "one is the loneliest number".

the second song i very much like, and i only like the studio version. there are a number of versions he did live, and i do not like them, so if i tell you the name of the song, you will likely find a version that i do not like.

here is a link to the song.
it is a very "NT" song and i am mystified by the lyrics, but i can fully involve myself with the melody, and i can play the song on my keyboard well. i have played piano in many songs recorded at the recording studio i worked for before my ear operation, but i never really understood the words. i wish i could fully join in with their world, but at least i can fully join in with the musical structure, because it transcends my communicative disability.

you may not like this song because there is no accounting for musical "taste".

to me, the theory of "heart" is magic, and i am not able to be involved in magic.

Apparently I really am ignored on these forums.
I mean, I interject in conversations, try to add something, and the same thing happens here that happens in real life; I get talked over.
Or I kill the thread. I don't even try. I try to say SOMETHING thought-provoking.
So yes, I am now an unpopular WP member.

Fun fun. I didn't feel it till now.

I've also been ignored a lot lately. I guess that I've scared a few people and made them feel uncomfortable. I've got to stop posting about my gender issues. Get that chip off my shoulder, wear one of my Kinks inspired outfits and get out in the real world. Well, at least go to Stepping Stones. I should be around people and talking to them, being myself but thinking of others.

I would hazard a guess and say that most people here have absolutely no problem with your gender issues, CR. :D

The only time I have ever had an issue with any of your posts is with the ones that have contained obvious sexism and judgemental remarks - I know that these stem from the gender identify issues but they are still difficult for me to read. Thankfully they are extremely rare.

Apart from that, most of your posts on that subject are unlikely to cause anyone to be uncomfortable - which are the large majority of the time.

We like you CR, and we are here for you no matter what. *hugs*
