I was walking home from the part this morning and I've noticed something about the big advertisement in the windows, where the dollar store of the little mall that I live behind. Somebody drew a mustache on the face of one of the thin and flawless young women who were in that advertisement picture. :)

I'm going through a difficult time right now and I dropped in at WP to check on how things are over here at the moment. It's great to see that the community is still helpfull and friendly to each other and gives people a place to talk about things they want to share. It's good to know that WP is around whenever it is needed and that alone made me feel much better already.

Greetings from Germany!

I am finally seeing the guy I like this weekend. This is the equivalent of some other person my age meeting Lady Gaga or Snooki. OMG. Pumped. Ah!

My diagnoses - social anxiety disorder and obsessive-compulsive disorder.

I’m no longer involved with the ASD world.

My library always has different books up front for displays- the history of rap, graphic novels, early American authors, etc.

Imagine my happiness when I walked into the library just now and peripherally spotted John Elder Robison's "Look Me in the Eye: My Life With Aspergers". Turns out, there were about a dozen, including Temple Grandin's book, and the two I checked out:

Nancy J. Patrick's "A Practical Guide to Day-to-Day Life: Social Skills for Teenagers and Adults with Asperger Syndrom" (for me)

and

William Stillman's book "The Autism Answer Book: More than 300 of the Top Questions Parents Ask" (for my mother, who after years doubting my diagnosis is on the verge of "getting it")

I would have checked out more, but I wanted to leave most of the display for other people-
I research Autism every day, while most people who walk through the library's front doors might not ever think of it.

This is, of course, after making conversation with two real live human beings back-to-back,
one being a member of my theatre group (I *recognized* her!) whom I made laugh,
and smiling at and nodding hello to yet another when I got here!

Hot dog!! !

Also looking fly, or some other such thing I'm too white to convincingly say. :nerdy:
