1. The first song I really liked was "Hanky Panky" by Tommy James and the Shondells. My brother used to play it constantly on the record player he got for Christmas

2. The first song I sort of understood was "Georgy Girl" by the Seekers. It was a big hit at the time my parents went on vacation, and I was left with a babysitter.

3. The first song my mother picked me up and danced with me with was "Dawn" by the Four Seasons.

I got a record player for Christmas. I pulled it out of the box upside down :) and my brother helped me. It's in my home videos from 1973 or something like that, the year I had my hair cut. I digress.

I think your lie is 2, for some reason. I had a Curious George toy though.

Nope. It's #3. By the time of "Dawn," I was three years old, and didn't like being picked up any longer. My mother danced with me to various earlier Four Seasons songs.

1. I used to pretend I was asleep in random spots so my dad would carry me to bed.

2. When my dad fell asleep on a chair I painted his toenails. He didn't notice until morning and didn't have time to take the polish off, and he was angry that he had to wear it to work.

3. My parents left me with a babysitter when they went to Reunion Island.

I can't believe I made it this far!

I remember when I had 52 posts. Somebody with 2,000 posts said that I had too few posts for people to respond to me.

This person still has under 3,000 posts LOL

I thought it was rather sad, in a way, even though it was supposed to be a funny song.

1. The first 1950's song I liked was "Baby, oh Baby," by the Shells.

2. I first heard this song on a K-Tel commercial. This set in motion my doo-wopp obsession.

3. I knew, in the 1970s, that Rock-n-Roll actually started in the 1940s.

I just meant that being short isn't sad. Yes, you're right, the song is though. Randy Newman can make anything sound melancholy, I think.

Your lie is 1.

My Lie is #3. I though Rock-N-Roll started around 1954, with “Rock around the Clock.” Subsequent research, though, revealed true Rock-N-Roll from the late 1940s.

Thanks, Anon.

My lie was 3.
I did stay home, but I think I was with my dad's mother rather than a babysitter. The babysitter was during a different trip.

My mom met my girlfriend for the first time a few days ago and they "clicked" almost immediately.

My girlfriend's birthday and my sister's birthday are within days of each other.

Even though she has never watched all of his movies (she has watched some just to be clear), my mom's favorite movie director is Martin Scorsese.

I hope the Lie isn't #1. I'll say #3.

The first one is the lie. My mom has said many times that if I end up in a relationship and she finds out about it, she will do everything she can to end it, therefore in turn was cause for me to keep my relationship to myself.

My girlfriend's birthday is May 23rd and my sister's birthday is May 27th.
