Dear ProfessorX, I dunno, but it looks so GOOD!
Actually, right now I'm at my favorite grocery store/Wi/Fi place, having a sensible breakfast of Baked Potato soup, Californis Roll sushi, Coca-Cola, and gonna have ice cream fr desert, I think....

i had a curried sausage sundae.

actually, to be serious, i ate a dish that is arduous compile that i devised.

i do not know what to call it.

this is the recipe (for one person) -

ingredients:
2 sausages
6 iranian dates
1/3 of an apple (granny smith)
1/3 of an onion diced roughly
1 clove of garlic peeled and diced finely (preferably shredded)
2 tablespoons of butter.
1/2 a can of tomato soup (concentrated)
1 cup of chicken stock
i dessert spoon of curry powder (keens curry is my favourite)
3 tablespoons of pure cream
4 cups of water
1 tablespoon of cornflour
1 desert spoon of brown sugar
2 teaspoons of cinnamon
1 dessert spoon of worcestershire sauce.
---
i cup of white rice.

method:

i boil 2 sausages in water until they are firm, and then i take them out of the water and skin them, and slice them into 1 cm thick slices and set them aside.

i dice the dates as fine as i can (they are sticky and globulous), and i slice the apple very thinly.
i also slice the onions into slices about 1/4 cm thick, and i separate all the rings out and bisect each of the onion rings (before separating them).
i squash the peeled garlic through a garlic press.

i do not let any of the ingredients touch each other at this point.

first i add 1 tablespoon of butter to a frypan and melt it, and when it is bubbling (being careful to not let it get nutty flavoured) i add the dates. i cook them on low to medium heat for 4 minutes and then i scoop them out of the butter and put them onto a plate (i have a hard time not eating them at that stage because dates fried in butter are so nice).

then i add another tablespoon of butter to the same frypan and i cook the apples for 6 minutes until they are caramelized, and then i add the cinnamon, and stir thoroughly and cook for another 30 seconds (on medium heat).

then i scoop them out of the butter and put them onto the same plate that the dates are on.

then i add the onions and garlic to the butter and i cook on medium heat for 3-5 minutes until the onions are transparent but not browned.

i then scoop them out and put them on the same plate as the apples and dates.

there is still quite a bit of butter in the frypan, and so i add the cornflour to it and i stir over low heat until the cornflour is saturated, and then i add the cream.. the mixture thickens to a doughey like mixture, and then i add the curry powder and cook for a further minute until the curry powder is completely infused.

then i add the cup of chicken stock (which provides the saltiness) and the water at the same time, and the mixture becomes thin and watery. i then add the tomato soup and brown sugar, and stir until it is mixed through. the mixture is still watery.

then i add the sausage slices and the apple/date/onion/garlic mixture from the other plate to the stew.

i simmer the mixture for 45 minutes while the water boils off, and then it is has thickened to a point where is is still runny but has substantial viscosity, and the sausage slices are so soft they melt in my mouth.

served with rice, it is a delicious dish.

if i had a restaurant i would have it on the menu, but it would have to be precooked because no one would want to wait for more than an hour for it to be served.

i think i have not left any thing out of my description so i will post it now.
(it is not a very healthy dish i guess, but it is indulgent and i like indulging)

it just looked dried out and it looked like it had gone cold, and the fish looked like it was slightly burned. the rice seemed rather dry looking as well. i have no point. i am not a master of taste. trained chefs and gastronomes consider me to be quite a philistine when it comes to taste. i like meat to be cooked thoroughly and i will not eat meat if it has any pink colour about it.

i like my meat to be "well done", and i am considered to be cullinarily stupid.
do not feel insulted by my basal response. my tastes are my own and your tastes are your own and there is no accounting for our tastes.

some people like the color blue,
and others like the color red,
but that does not mean that you
are incorrect inside your head..

'nuff said.
