More quail sightings in recent days.

The hills are a beautiful, bright green.

Fresh air...

the hint of grass emergency from dormancy.

New cats and kittens around. I haven't seen very many new ones, lately, though. My youngest feral kitties are nine years old, while my oldest one is nearly seventeen.

*laughs hysterically*

It's slightly warmer now, but windy.

The snow has finally cleared.

Now for the cherry blossom to come out. My favourite part of spring.

A cool sensation on your skin, a cool breeze, on a sunny day

the first tree pollens and sneezing.

Spring forward. Clocks ahead 1 hour.

Tree flowers are budding and getting ready to open.

Red-winged Blackbirds back at the river.

I Wandered Lonely as a Cloud

I wandered lonely as a cloud
That floats on high o'er vales and hills,
When all at once I saw a crowd,
A host, of golden daffodils;
Beside the lake, beneath the trees,
Fluttering and dancing in the breeze.

Continuous as the stars that shine

They stretched in never-ending line
Along the margin of a bay:

Tossing their heads in sprightly dance.

The waves beside them danced; but they
Out-did the sparkling waves in glee:
A poet could not but be gay,
In such a jocund company:
I gazed—and gazed—but little thought
What wealth the show to me had brought:

For oft, when on my couch I lie
In vacant or in pensive mood,
They flash upon that inward eye
Which is the bliss of solitude;
And then my heart with pleasure fills,
And dances with the daffodils.

When did Wordsworth write this?

I wish people, in general, maintained that attitude all through their lives, instead of becoming cynical and bitter.

Changing all the clocks in our house and car one hour ahead. Upstairs, luckily, I only had to change one, as the computer automatically resets.

Only 3 inches of snow today (less than 10 cm anyway). I almost put on my swimming suit
