How to use an inhaler.

Actually use an inhaler.

Yet to see the result.
Yet to execute whatever lifestyle changes that I'm changing.

There's no limit to merchants' psychopathy.

I'm totally into it
I don't think there's a single muscle in my body that I haven't put to use

I'm in dire need of a role model.

I've found one. Mick Avory of The Kinks. He's a real-life Om Nom.

Today I learned that menthol is soluble in olive oil to a concentration of at least 15%.
It may seem trivial to many folks, but it's well worth knowing if you're designing a menthol-based lotion for pain and itching that doesn't cost as much as the rather pricey ones they sell in shops and doesn't contain anything you don't quite trust for rubbing on your skin.

Surprisingly, data about menthol solubility in vegetable oils appears to be undocumented in the public domain. AI chatbots admitted this and guesstimated it as either 1-2% (i.e. miles out), or in one case 6-9%, which was somewhere nearer the truth but still rather inadequate. I'm toying with the idea of being even more of a trailblazer by trying to dissolve it to 30%. To boldly go where no man has gone before, eh?

Today I also learned that the word "guesstimate" is more officially-recognised as a proper word than I'd previously thought it was. Even the spellchecker on WP doesn't flag it as wrong. So I'm free to use it without being justifiably called out for the use of vulgar slang. And it might even be allowed for Scrabble.

To be myself on WP, again.

A passing pedant notes that there is no spellchecker on WP - but there is one in your browser. :nerdy:

It's time to stop playing the Cockney Rebel and for me to start being mindful so I won't get banned.

Well of course I meant "the spellchecker that runs while I'm on WP," but time pressure forbade me from explaining that in detail.

Actually, it's a fair cop. I did think it was WP's own spellchecker.

Well there's something I learned today. I assumed it was WP's spellcheck because it accepts a lot of autism-specific words that aren't accepted elsewhere. Weird

I learned that although our microwave has a nasty habit of resetting itself a mere 25 seconds after I've set a precise cooking time (which is very annoying when I'm doing time-sensitive cooking), I can get round it by pressing the Start button and then the Pause button. That way it'll wait all day without resetting. I love learning things that make my life easier.

I learned that too. So I was then able to find the language settings in Firefox and switch from US English to UK English. So now I can type "favourite" and "colour" without being told I'm wrong.

Yes that does seem odd, an autism-aware browser. I don't entirely approve of Mozilla, but at least they're woke in a useful way.
