How hippie songs bring me back to my first months of college, when I was a hippie and I had a crush on a blue-eyed Mick Avory look-a-like who was in my programme and I wanted to shag him, though I kept it a secret. He was too innocent for that type of thing and already married. I was bad back than.

When I was younger at school I'll admit it, I did want to be "normal" as I felt I didn't fit in anywhere. But as I've got older, I've realized that to be normal is not a positive trait as it means you have no unique qualities. If everyone had the same mentality to simply "fit in" and be a carbon copy of others, there would be no room for new ideas or innovations. Being different means you are a unique and interesting person, not just another face in the crowd so to speak.

People who fit in with society...or strive to are considered normal....there is not an exact definition of normal as it can vary quite a bit, but I am using it in that context. So you haven't met anyone that fits in?
