Today i woke up ready to go and feeling good again. Thanks, Dill.

I was listening to a program today about a new novel set in a deaf community. Some of you probably know that the deaf community has its own language(s) and culture and wants nothing to do with the hearing world. The author said something to the effect of "deaf people don't want to be seen as disabled, just as people with a different culture? or something?

I was thinking this is what autists frequently say they want (see a couple posts up.) But we are so much less social than other cultures. We may not like living all with each other.

My main problem right now has to do with resistance by important familiy member to my solo canoe trip. I will still go, of course. It is my life and I may not have that many years left. I don't want to fritter away the years I have. I got sidetracked a couple of times in my life and lost many years of canoeing.

It's one of these every other week of every other month.

Just sometimes feeling lost, not in a physical manner; rather have never found a particular path in life. Anyways, I do my best to help in general.

Someone that needn't be but is is worried about me, as I guess she sees those things in my eyes. It's just the pupils' lies. The darkness within, but the shadows unseen are lost figments and don't bother me. Maybe an inflection in my voice lets the unseen seen and unheard heard. That's just stress of things seen but can't be unseen. It's alright as I take it step by step.

I'm fine, but thanks for the care.

I can't wait to be able to legally change my name. I hate having to use my deadname on documents and then have people call me it. :x I have no attachment to that name and it makes me feel dysphoric.

Hi HeroOfHyrule,

I go by my middle name (shortened) as others cannot seem to pronounce my first name correctly (It is not difficult!).

Wishing you all the best with your legal name change application.

From your user name I wanted to add that I have played and written a tune for ocarina (fun!) thinking that might amuse you ('It's called 'Little Golden Cuckoo' though I have yet to record it (entirely))!

Wishing you all the very best,

Have a great day,

Jim

Thank you, I hope you have a good day, too! And that sounds really cool, if you feel comfortable you should link it to me if you choose to record the rest of it and upload it.

Hm.

I learned that I prefer salty and savory variants of oatmeals instead of sweet and mild kinds of flavors.

Also I happened to also like minty chamomile oil essentials. Even if, scent-wise, it's a bit sour for me, yet it works good on my system.

And spearmint tea is still weird.

Lastly... And sadly... I might have to say good bye to chocolates. :shaking:
For good. :( Maybe until menopause.

I really don't want to have to take apart the sink next and try to get down that drain in hopes of finding whatever the culprit is. I've been at this off and on for an hour and a half now. Most of it just me trying to navigate a small space to and undoing pipes, trying to collect standing water so as not to have it pour down into my front entryway (upstairs bathroom)... mostly though I'm very aware that my hand strength isn't what it used to be. The whole thing is hard as h*ll and I keep needing to take breaks and give my hands a rest. It's been a few years since I've had to do this and man, it's a lot harder than I remember it being. I certainly feel it, that's for sure. I think I'll give the snake one more try and if that doesn't work, it reassembling the tub bits and heading on to the sink. Here's hoping that when I try this time, I pull out a big glob of some gross thing that sets water in motion again.
