I know seagulls will eat just about anything, but I never thought they would actually eat rabbits, since rabbits don't usually live near the ocean. Or a city dump. Or the parking lots outside of fast food places, which is where I usually see the gulls hanging out.

I've seen that. Great black-backed gulls are much bigger than most seagulls. They're large and aggressive enough to sometimes steal food from different types of hawks, including goshawks and peregrine falcons.
