I repaired the broken U-bend connection under the kitchen sink. It had fallen off and flooded the cupboard and the floor. Took a while to figure out how the rubber washer thing fitted back in place to seal the join, but I got there. Then I used some cable ties to make sure it doesn't fall off again. Cheap plastic pipes, usual cheapskate landlord job. It had happened before on the bathroom sink, only without the flood, so I reported it. The repair man just botched it back together, said he thought that ought to work, and left. A few weeks later it came off again and soaked everything. So I fixed that myself rather than use a repair man who didn't care about doing a good job. If you want a job doing right, do it yourself. 8)

I just won in a writing contest :D My children's short story entitled "Unhappy Frog" will be read aloud in the "Literary Voice" radio, in the "Listen to Ania" program, together with some other chosen short stories like that :D If my story turns out to be the best one, it will be printed in a children's book :D

That is quite something! Bravo!

I'm very happy because of it, too :D

And oh, I didn't expect this but I was also told now that I'm going to get a book for my story :D I only must buy a microphone to record my children's story :)

I rode my bike out to the grocery store and got myself some treats: cheese, yogurt, ice cream, grapes. It was a bit chilly so I wore my coat, but that was a bit too much, too warm.

Finally, after almost 3 months of edema in both my feet and legs, I’m able to get slippers on my feet. Next trick, see if I can back into shoes.

I won a vacuum cleaner :D

P.S. And two music albums - in two different contests. And so far, it's just the (late) morning.

Despite Thanksgiving being cut off early, I still had a good time last night with just my parents and aunt. And I got more time with my cat. I don't see her enough these days. And whatever the sickness is we don't think it's covid, and even if it is we're all vaccinated so we'll be okay.

I've found my favourite version of Baby It's Cold Outside. It was recorded in 2001 but it sure sounds like it was recorded in the 60s.

It gives me Austin Powers vibes
