lead apron? like for X-Ray technicians in the hospital? I had to wear one when I worked at the Cardiac Catheterization lab. Lead aprons are not too heavy - just the right weight to make you feel safe and comfortable. there is this protector that goes around your neck - to protect your thyroid glad from radiation. are they sending that to you as well?

When in doubt, ask an autistic. Chances are, they're obsessed with what you need to know.

Yes, I read it. Do you already have it and use the lead apron?

Or....

Do you (daily) read a newspaper?

I read the London Financial Times and Z Magazine. I make an effort to read the New Yorker, but don't have the will power to put myself through reading the NYT. :)

My TV is gone for good, thank God, I spend my spare time watching http://fora.tv and documentaries from onebigtorrent.org/ I also listen to National Public Radio podcasts - this american life and author interviews. I used to watch Henry Waxman's hearings and Book TV on C-Span before I cancelled cable. Now I download some from C-Span website - but only the good stuff - Tim O'Brien's speeches, Blackwater Hearings, Panel Discussions of things like the Media and so on. Youtube is good for Noam Chomsky talks.

This is what I am listening to right now: http://fora.tv/fora/fora_download?cid=3401&fid=11613

My earliest memory is a vague recollection of me moving house when I was just 4 years old. My proper earliest memory is waking up in a new bedroom - in the new house. I remember everything was red in the early-esque morning. :)

Do you have a Wrongplanet item?

Yes! I opened the front door this morning to go and get the paper and a little grey mouse ran inside the front door. I ran back in and yelled "ACK! Don't! This is the path to your death!! (we have a cat who eats mice :eww: ) and I am totally serious when I saw it stopped, turned around, and ran right back out. I'm wondering if he's the same little guy who's been bunking in my truck :chin: We used to live across from a huge forest/field but the farmer sold the land to a development so now they've built a crapload of houses :( All of the wildlife that lived there, crossed the street to live in our 'hood. Now we're living amongst mice, rabbits, racoons and foxes.

Do you have any pets?

No, I'm sorry to say I don't. I would love to have a dog. A big German Pointer like this fellow would probably be the one.

That was Archimedes, right?

Do you ever watch History, or History Channel?

I do not have a channel totally devoted to history (in general). I would have watched it for sure because I'm quite a bit interested in history. My grandfather was a walking encyclopedia concerning history. Really amazing.

Which is a hat, a country and a canal? (all three, one name.... too easy, but hey)

(oh, Archimedes was right)

Yep I thought it was him. Panama is your answer.

Let me ask something sporting...

Who is the only african footballer to be named world player of the year?
(if this becomes a threadkiller, I'll change it)

Looked it up, didn't know but I think it's Emmanuel Adebayor. The Arsenal striker born in Togo. Good for him.

What would be your favourite sport (out of all sports) to watch on TV?

Emmanuel won african footballer of the year. The only player from africa to be crowned the world's best is George Weah.

My fav sport to watch ont tele? Difficult to say. If it's rugby season then it's rugby and the same goes for cricket and soccer. I also love watching the Tour de France and clay court tennis. But if I had to choose one I'd say rugby.

What colour is your house/residence painted?
