It's interesting how people are always naked in these old images of Hell/divine judgement, etc. For the judgement part, I guess nudity is supposed to symbolize the judged not having anything to hide behind - all their sins exposed! For the Hell images I guess all the surfaces of their bodies are supposed to be exposed for their physical torments or whatever. It always seems to add a weirdly erotic element, though.
