Got a leg of lamb in the oven. Lamb is too expensive to eat generally but it's my favourite and I always roast a leg on Easter Sunday.

Oh yes everybody can sing, it's just a matter of doing it for long enough and you get better and better. Took me about 10 years before I got to like the sound of my own singing. You need pure undiluted pig-headedness though. I was shite at first and I've got the recordings to prove it.

Sad to say, the following night was poorly-attended and the audience was a bit lukewarm. And I was tired. It was a bit of an anticlimax after Friday. Still, they didn't boo or throw bottles, and I got a couple of compliments so I should be grateful. Tonight is the last of the 3-night run, and I guess it's unlikely to be even worse. All good experience, and I think I'm starting to conquer my nerves a bit more.

I'll be bloody glad when I don't feel nervous. Haven't been that way since the 1970s. I think it's because the audience is close up and the lighting is such that you can see them staring at you, and a lot of them look a bit miserable. I think I need some of that green liquid the dentist gave me that time he pulled a wisdom tooth. No wonder performers take to drugs so often.

Just received notification of my US citizenship ceremony 8)

That means it's almost in the bag unless I fail to arrive on time, which would complicate things. Hope the bloody car doesn't throw a rod. I also have to make sure I don't rob a bank, join the communist party, become a prostitute, or desert the US military. At least not till I've done the ceremony. I'll do my best.
