Thankyou, lovely!

My rosé coloured glasses are nice.
Because my ability to see the good in the world is directly proportional to the amount of alcohol I've consumed.

^ Always happy to help a pun.

I suppose lust is a feeling or trait or a behaviour, so the real enemy would be yourself if it caused any degree of f**k up.

The real enemy is always yourself, so yeah.
Nothing wrong with lust though, really.

I'm feeling way too normal to grok this image.

Ordinarily I'm more shamanic than the average bear, I hope I don't normalize permanently.

I may just be oblivious but this is most of what I'm really thinking today myself. I'm a people person if those I'm FWD'ing these to have anything to say about it. :?

I haven't been spending enough time with the people in my life lately, blame the crazy pills I guess. I hope everyone this brings to mind will kindly interrupt my blasé job searching. It's all too rare to see any such positivity online but it shouldn't be stuck in here. :nerdy:

The positivity here takes a wander too.
I'd like to spend more time with rocks.
And my paddleboard.

Ooh that is uncanny; so much has been, lately.

I hope you find some time for them, and they for you.

Well, I had certainly never thought of it as the Enemy in Life.
Maybe that's just one person's guilt talking.
My enemy would be self-hatred.
But I'm into giving that bastard a few crotch kicks from time to time.

Self-hatred is a fascinating thing.
Insidious.

Are self-hatred and guilt the same thing?
Or guilt leads to self-hatred.

Then self-hatred leads to guilt.
Of course life is a b***h.
If it was a slut it would be too easy.

The world's quite preoccupied with shiny distractions & expensive gadgets, while not immune to that I've been thinking more about the holistic web, everything was already interconnected & now we've artificially accelerated that process. It really downplays our knowledge of self now that I consider that angle. Is there room for anything but the negative in our self-perception when/if machines know more about us than we do?

Robot uprising isn't really a concern of mine yet but I do wonder if the connectivity itself has begun steering events so to speak. Technology of late has this bizarre way of collapsing social realities while creating larger ones.

Pretty much a metaphysical, person-sized bug zapper IMO.

it's hard to take it well when your girlfriend tells you she can't spend time talking with you this weekend....and one of those things i wanted to vent about was how my friends have little time for me and it makes me sad.

we haven't spent real time together outside of school in three months.

I think you have sufficient humour to let the thread stand.
