I think the whole stealing a vehicle and driving illegally thing is just my desire to drive in real life and have more freedom and independence but it sure wasn't worth it in this dream. :(

look on the bright side- at least you weren't zooming around on a giant flying pink penis dive-bombing your dad like when I was young.

I dreamt I had a blue budgerigar in an elaborate, multi-level bird house almost as tall as myself. I was examining the outside of the cage for holes through which the bird could escape. Every time I did a scan I would find a new hole had appeared and I would stick a patch over the breach and plaster it on with duct tape. When I looked down after doing this, I saw the door of the cage was wide open. I dropped what I had in my hands and did some kind of movie-style dive tackle to reach the escaping bird in time. My fingers just manage to grab the end of it's tail, which seems to stretch and grow longer as I hold it and the bird's getting further and further away from me although I'm holding it tightly.
Weird.

Bird
To see birds in your dream symbolizes freedom, your goals, aspirations and hopes. To see a budgie in your dream indicates that you lack initiative and new ideas. You need to be more unconventional and spontaneous. The dream also relates to dependency and inexperience. To see a birdcage in your dream represents a loss of hope. You are feeling locked up and unable to fully express yourself. Alternately you are trying to hold onto some aspect of your hopes and dreams that is elusive.

I'm driving through what looks like a lunar landscape with huge craters and hills. I pull up and get out of the vehicle - a battered white Landcruiser utility. I have a device with numerous dials, buttons, gauges and flashing lights which I'm swinging around in all directions trying to get the right frequency of beeps.
Then I'm on a bicycle in the same kind of landscape as before. I'm riding rather precariously on a raised platform a couple of feet wide with metal rollers on it. I come across a few cardboard boxes filled with rotting cucumbers which I also need to negotiate without plummeting to the ground below. On my left, there's an escarpment. The bottom of the escarpment has been tunnelled out and is filled with strange animals which are running along keeping pace with me. One animal stands out from the rest. It's larger than the others, with a head like a monkey and a lion's body. Short golden wings stick straight out from its body and a golden harp is sticking out the top of it's back. Then I hit something on the platform and I'm launched over the handlebars and I'm spinning and falling...

I was dreaming I was paying a claw machine and have gotten random things out of it, and just giving them away to people that walked by.

I dreamt i was in some kind of movie about high-level drug smuggling, i got a $200k payment for a shipment i made, and immediately knew that a spy satellite had seen me accept the payment from this drug kingpin, so i figured out that i had to call the FBI and try to get some kind of deal from them before they nabbed me, so that is what i did, and my senior FBI contact was none other than president LBJ [i must've been in an alternate universe where he was still alive and president]. then my dream segued into one where my dad and me were back in the year 1969 and i was riding in his truck, we visited a third-grade classroom for a while where i had done a show-and-tell with my dad's large transistor shortwave radio [then a gee-whiz techy thing] then got back in the truck to go home but then at the last minute i remembered i left the radio on the big table in the classroom so my dad whipped around in the parking lot back to the classroom driving over the sidewalk, and i hopped out, dashed back into the classroom, grabbed the radio then hopped back in the truck, but when we tried to leave everything turned into the inside of a huge classroom at night with christmas presents all over the floor that i had to sweep out of the way for dad's truck to be able to drive out of there, and they were all heavy presents and i struggled to move them. then i was prematurely awoken from sleep by alarm clock so i don't know how it ended. drat, it was just getting interesting at that point.

I turn up at work like I've just gotten out of the shower, with only a towel wrapped around me. When I go into the office, everything has been changed. There's new furniture - mostly low, plush cubes in shades of beige - and the walls have been painted brown. It looks like one of the walls had been knocked out too because the room is longer than I remember.
They're having a meeting, so I sit down. Then I remember I'm not wearing any clothes so I jump up and say, "I'll be right back!"
I look for the staff room but it's been moved and there's a sweets shop in its place. I find the staffroom upstairs. The desks have been removed and replaced with beds. I start looking for my bag. A staff member comes in and says, "What are you looking for?"
I answer, "My bag. I don't know where I left it."
She asks, "What does it look like?"
I start describing it and then I see it in a corner. I pick it up and say, "Here it is!"
She says, "No, that's (another staff member's) bag."
I look down and discover that the bag is now not my bag, but some beige thing with metal studs. to make things worse, while I've been looking at the bag, the room has rearranged itself so my bed is now right in the middle of the room.
I run out of the room and straight into the tech guy. He puts his arms around me and at first I think he's going to give me a quick hug, but the hug goes on and on and he's sqeezing me tighter and tighter. At last I manage to prise myself away from him. I run downstairs into the sweets shop, where I see my bag behind the counter. There's two teenage boys in the shop. One of them wants to buy some lollies. I look for the cash register but it's been replaced with a clear, vertical cylinder. I touch it and metal discs inside start aligning with each other. I'm trying to input 26 cents x 3 but I'm having great difficulty. I try to align the multiplication sign but it spins around and turns up the minus sign instead. I'm searching desperately for the delete function when a huge crowd piles in the shop. There's a photographer yelling directions. They all gather around the counter with me in the centre and the photographer starts snapping away with blinding flashes. I'm still wearing a towel. Then he yells that the next person who organises a 'snapfest' will WIN, WIN, WIN!

 I just listened to that song. :thumleft:
There was definitely something wrong with Raleigh's world! That dream was so freaking exhausting - it was like "101 ways to trigger a meltdown".

I had a sad dream tonight.. based on my real life right now. I'm having some trouble with one member of my band. In the dream, I had trouble with all of the other band members, plus there were three new people in the band that I didn't know, I remember one of them was a tall black woman (I don't actually know anyone matching that). They all kinda ignored me and I could feel that they were holding a grudge against me for something. But I didn't know what I had done wrong. I asked and asked if they could tell me what the problem was but they never did. I was so frustrated and sad that I cancelled the next practise session.

I had some other dream(s) but unfortunately the memories are very scrambled. I had amazing short blue hair and I think I was in some building after using the elevator. I knew that in one room on this floor I would have to fight someone but then discovered that I didn't actually have any weapons with me. Also there was something about a man living in the sewers, who was not an enemy but I still avoided him? Something like that.

The night before that, I had a cool dream but sadly remember very little. It was some kind of fantasy setting. A quite large group of people were on some kind of adventure? One of them was a guy with a bit longer black hair and he was some kind of advisor/diplomat. He was pretty clever but he had an insecure and kinda sleazy way to act around other people and was bullied a little. Wish I could remember more because I'm pretty certain there was a lot more to that dream.

Ah well, at least the fact that I have been sleeping bad and waking up early helps to remember my dreams. Sometimes I barely remember anything for two months or so.

I return to my staffroom during work to find it's been partially cleared out. There's two people I've never seen before sitting at desks doing office type work. I ask, "Where's all my things?" They tell me it's been taken away but they can't tell me where. They say I might find some of my stuff in the pile that's been dumped in the middle of the floor. I start sorting through it and find a few of my things, but a voice inside my head keeps saying, "You should be working. You'll be late and you'll have a complaint put in against you." I throw my things back in the pile and decide to go back to work.

I'm walking upstairs. My body starts to get incredibly heavy. It's a monumental effort to lift my foot up to the next step. I keep thinking, "I've got to get back to work." I almost make it to the top but then everything goes blurry and I just sink down until I'm rolling back down the stairs, landing on my belly with the side of my face pressed against the cold linoleum. I can't seem to move. Everyone just ignores me and steps around me. After a while, I manage to get up and limp away.

I'm outside, waiting for the ferry. There's a wire trash basket near the bench I'm sitting on with a few greasy fish and chip wrappings in the bottom. I get up and put myself in the basket with the rubbish. Then I tip the basket over and start rolling around in it. An old man comes up to me and starts berating me, telling me I shouldn't be doing that, I should be at work, I should be responsible etc. Everything he says to me I answer, "WHY?" Finally he asks, "Why are you saying why all the time?" I yell, "BECAUSE F**K WORK THAT'S WHY!!"

+ Btw I had an absolutely s**t day at work today.

i dreamt i was in my parents' old house, and although it was daytime it was very dark outside, in fact the moon was rising quickly through sparse but dramatic clouds like what you'd see in a horror movie. there were these zombies outside that kept rapping and thumping the doors and windows and sides of my house wanting to be let in, plus one "social worker" who wanted to talk to me, but i didn't want any part of any of it. but for some reason i could not close the curtains nor shut out the lights, i was sorta like a deer in the headlights, and finally the zombies broke into the basement and through a bedroom window and came marching inside and i had to tackle them and kick them out one by one. during all this, big gray letters spelling out "CHIMNEY" floated in the air in front of me. then my mother came home and i told her what happened and she didn't seem too concerned.

I was having a dream where I was in some kind of dimly-lit, interview type situation with a panel of very serious-faced people grilling me over something while I sat in a hard chair in the centre of the room...but my partner woke me up and started talking about our plans for the day and I forgot most of the details. Annoying, because I feel like the dream was conveying something of importance.
