That's the downside of sharing a bed with someone, I suppose. Has it's advantages too

Dreamt I was standing in front of a large fish tank covering most of the wall. There were hundreds of tiny, vibrant red and blue fish. They were swimming as tiny fish do, turning rapidly this way and that as though they were one living being.
As I stand mesmerised by the fish, someone taps me twice on the right shoulder. I turn around but no one's there. I turn back to the fish, then someone taps me on the other shoulder. Behind me is a labyrinth of dark, damp corridors smelling of aquarium which I start walking down looking for the mysterious shoulder-tapper. Every time I come to a junction and I'm confused as to which route to take, someone taps me on either the left or right shoulder and I turn in that direction. I arrive in due course back to the fish tank but I'm now on the other side of it. I stand watching the fish. Then someone whispers directly in my right ear. The effect is like an electric shock. I wake up at this point.
The whisper was really forceful and felt real - could feel the air pressure and everything but I was so freaked out by the suddenness of it I couldn't really make out what was said.

Fish
To see fish swimming in your dream signifies insights from your subconscious mind. Alternatively, a fish swimming in your dream may symbolize conception. Some women dream of swimming fish when they get pregnant. Perhaps your dream could be telling you that "there are plenty of other fish in the sea", with regards to some relationship issue.
Aquarium
To see an aquarium in your dream signifies that you have acknowledged your emotions but have not yet confronted them. Thus, it may refer to your subconscious thoughts or repressed sexual desires. Also, you may feel that your life is going nowhere or that you feel it is going in circles. Alternatively, the aquarium may indicate that you need to calm down and set some time for yourself to relax and unwind.
Whispering
To hear whispering in your dream suggests that you need to pay closer attention to something or listen to someone more carefully. Alternatively, whispering represents your insecurities and anxieties. To dream that someone is whispering in your ear suggests that you need to pay closer attention to something or listen to someone more carefully. Alternatively, it represents your insecurities and anxieties that people are talking about your behind your back.

I dreamt that I was at some police precinct house somewhere, in a meeting room with other people who vaguely seem to be in some sort of court-ordered diversion for some types of infraction. I left after a while, and went outside and it was nighttime, and my dad [as he was about 40 years ago] pulled up in one of my old cars [long since totaled when a drunk hit me], and I opened the door and found there was no passenger seat, it was in the trunk, so I went to the trunk and got the seat and sat it back down on the passenger side and got in, and we drove off.

I'm late for a job so I'm running all over the countryside looking for my client. The terrain is rocky and hilly. I think he's at the bottom of the hill but when I get there I realise he's probably at the top so I start running again. At the top I find some of my co-workers. They tell me I have to take the 'tubes'. They're all disappearing on hands and knees inside what look like a series of lava tubes. I'm very reluctant to go inside the tubes. I try to walk over the top of them but they seem to be made of something like paper mâché and they start bowing under my weight. I have to run around the tubes at top speed to try and catch up with the others. Suddenly I see a series of automatic glass doors on my left. I pull up sharply, windmilling my arms as I try to keep my balance. There's a white haired lady just inside one of the doors beckoning to me. I go through the doors and end up in a the middle of a courtroom where I freeze like a deer in the headlights because I'm in front of an audience. There's a few people seated to my left with laptops in front of them. An aboriginal man is complaining loudly that he didn't get a table. The speaker at the bench to my right tells him, "I didn't think you would need a table." The aboriginal man says, "Mate, that's an amber thing to say. Amber!"

There's been some kind of function and I'm trying to help clean up. I'm picking up thin glass plates from the tables. I go to hand them to someone but they don't take them and the plates crash down. There's nowhere to wash up so I turn on a hose I find and the hose goes berserk with too much pressure and it's wetting everything and everyone as I'm desperately trying to turn it off but my hands seem useless.

I'm sitting at home. There's a knock at the door and a procession of relatives, both living and dead, dressed in their finest clothes, start filing in, silently smiling, bringing things into my home like salt and pepper shakers, napkin holders, glass vinegar bottles, fancy glassware etc., which they put down carefully and then leave, still smiling beatifically.

I dreamt I missed my flight because I got the departure time mixed up and arrived at the airport just in time to see the plane taking off. I have nowhere to go so I'm camping out in the airport lounge with my luggage. At one stage, several people take off their clothes and start getting up to high jinks on the furniture nearby while someone films what I guess is a very B-grade porno, complete with loud groaning other sexual vocalisations which the airport staff and other travellers seem to take in their stride.

As long as they are not terrorists...

Maybe the message of the dream is "why travel when you are already 'there'".

^ What's better than lots of fake, simulated sex?
Getting on the plane and going home to the real thing.

I'm at a place which I guess is some kind of correctional facility, judging by the amount of fencing and barbed wire surrounding it. I'm in the mess tent making a salad with rocket, roast pumpkin, roast capsicum, feta cheese and olives, with an oily dressing which I serve to the inmates and the boss. I ask the boss, "Is it too oily?" But he says, "No, it's fine." Then he drops his plate, clutches his throat and starts wheezing. "Were there nuts in that?" he asks between wheezes. I say no but then I think about it a bit and grab the bottle of salad dressing to read the label, which states that it contains peanut oil.

I'm trying to open the medicine cabinet but there's a bunch of keys on the keyring, none of which seem to fit. The last one I try opens it, then I'm throwing everything out, desperately searching for the Epipen. I find it, run back to where the boss is now lying rather swollen and blue-faced on the floor and stab the pen in his thigh - only to find I have it around the wrong way and I deliver my thumb a dose of adrenaline instead.

I'm sitting on the bed in my donger when a few inmates drag the boss's body in and throw it on the floor. "Why are you bringing him in here?" I ask, horrified. "You killed him," one of them says, "So you can look after him." They then have a heated debate about what should be done with the body. One thinks he should be buried, another thinks that's too much work and we should just dump him outside the perimeter and the last one thinks we should feed him to the crocodiles. I try to stay quiet and unobtrusive through all this in case they decide to include me in the waste disposal process.

It's night time. I hear noises and light my lantern to find rats chewing on the body. I jump out of bed and stamp on the floor to scare them away. The door to my donger is hanging open. As I go to close it a massive crocodile lunges in and grabs hold of the boss's feet as I run vigorously on the spot screaming my lungs out. It then begins to drag him out as I try to scramble on top of a tall, wobbly cupboard (still screaming like a maniac) which I cling to for dear life as I teeter around precariously on the rickety piece of furniture and continue to scream....

:o
that is a hellish dream.
Jail
To dream that you are in jail suggests that you are feeling restrained or censored in your work environment, relationship or situation in your life. You are feeling confined and suffocated. Alternatively, it represents self-punishment and guilt. You feel uncomfortably involved in some wrongdoing.
Jailer
To see a jailer in your dream suggests that you are being restrained in some way, either by your own belief system or by someone. Alternatively, it indicates your desires to control others.
Prison
To dream that you are in prison indicates that you are being censored in some area of your life. You feel that your creativity is being limited and that you are not allowed to express yourself. To see someone else in prison in your dream signifies an aspect of yourself that you are unable to express freely.
Suffocating
To see someone suffocate in your dream indicates that you want to dominate or overpower this person in your waking life. This person may also represent a waking aspect of your own self that you are trying to control.
Crocodile
To see a crocodile in your dream symbolizes freedom, hidden strength and power. It also forewarns of hidden danger. Someone near you is giving you bad advice and is trying to sway you into poor decisions. Because crocodiles can live in water and on land, they also represent your conscious and subconscious and the emotional and rational. Perhaps something is coming to the surface and you are on the verge of some new awareness.
Alternatively, the crocodile may be an aggressive aspect of yourself and your attitude. Dreaming that you are chased or bitten by a crocodile implies that you are refusing to confront some painful, disturbing or destructive aspect of your subconscious. Your feelings toward a situation or relationship is suffocating you or is eating you up inside.
Corpse
To see a corpse in your dream represents an aspect of yourself that has died. Or it may mean that you are unexpressive. You have shut yourself down and are feeling dead inside.
Rats
To see a rat in your dream signifies feelings of doubts, greed, guilt, unworthiness and envy. You are keeping something to yourself that is eating you up inside. Or you have done something that you wish you hadn't done. The dream may also be a pun on someone who is a rat. Are you feeling betrayed? In particular, to see a black rat represents deceit and covert activities. If you see a white rat in your dream, then it means that you will receive help from an unexpected source.

Soooo, on my dreams in the last few days...

I had a dream where I was at the doctor's and was injected with tons of stuff. Like just syringe after syringe into my arm. Was not a nightmare though. I think I dreamt this because I was sick at the time.

Then, next day, I dreamt I was at a train station and had to get home but all the trains were super late or cancelled and I kinda panicked that I wouldn't be able to get home and would have to sleep on the street or something. Influenced by the train strike here in Germany right now I think :D

And finally tonight, something weird again. Multiple parts, as most of my dreams have, and I'm pretty sure there's at least one more part that I can't remember.
- I was at a restaurant with a couple of friends, the restaurant was known for having really good fish dishes. It was kind of dark inside but not uncomfortable. I ordered a cappucino and a fish pizza - strange combination - the food took forever to be served and we talked about it, annoyed. Finally it arrived though and my pizza was kind of small and covered with feta instead of 'normal' pizza cheese. Then one of my coworkers suddenly sat next to me. I asked if she had just moved to that seat but she said no, she had been sitting there the entire time, although I was sure that wasn't true. We kinda flirted a bit - yes I'm interested in her in real life. :P
- another part. I was in a town and needed a bathroom. I found one, which belonged to a woman but she said it was mostly for visitors passing along. She also told me she had cameras installed in there and that she sees all kinds of weird stuff, like a woman smelling and using an old, used sanitary pad - wtf - well I used the bathroom, for some reason I didn't care about the camera stuff... but the walls were basically large windows facing the street and at some point I noticed I hadn't even closed the door - strangely I didn't mind, as opposed to those dreams where you feel naked and watched...
- last part I remember, I was on vacation somewhere at the North sea. I might have been there with the same people that were at the restaurant, not sure. Anyway, someone was swimming in the sea, I was at the beach, suddenly I saw a shark in the water close to the swimming person. I warned everyone and said there was a shark, strangely they were not convinced it was really a shark, and I tried to convince them, saying 'I think that's a shark' over and over again. I don't think the shark attacked anyone though. Later I told people 'at first I thought it was a dolphin but then I thought, no, there are no dolphins in the North sea'. :)
