Why is that? Is it because death is traditionally depicted as cold and unfeeling and merciless, instead of the other way round?

In American Horror Story: Asylum, death is portrayed as a woman.

I've also seen depictions of death as kind, gentle, compassionate, etc.

With my love of all things supernatural, I've seen lots of different portrayals of death.

The beast system I guess.

They would be a part of the beast system.

But it would be all that wickeness outside my home.

From the low level corruption all the way to the top.

That is why I'll never feel safe... never... that is why I care... I care because I'll never be safe...

Did you expect to feel safe?
Who of us feels safe?
There is no security.
It's all an illusion.
You can either accept that and give it up or live in fear for the rest of your life.
Looks like you've chosen option B.

That's why I can't think you're real.

i have been paranoid. it's terrifying and quite real to the person experiencing it.

Cats appear naturally in my book, so the intrusion of four into my book about reapers is just a coincidence. But, then, I don't believe that there are any coincidences.

yes. every thing that happens has been destined since the big bang. yet the illusion of free will is useful and pleasant. reward and punishment (though actually unwarranted) meld into the calculus of the inevitability of our decisions.

^It is? I wasn't aware of that. How many other people [spiritual or otherwise] are not aware of that?

I once asked my mum if my heart was in the centre of my chest. She corrected me, but I always felt that I was right, despite the evidence. Years and years later, I discovered that the heart chakra is indeed in the centre of the chest. 8)

Did you know your gut contains neurons?
Your gut kind of has its own brain.
Interesting.
That's why sometimes your gut knows things before your mind does.

It's amazing what your kidneys can tell you, indeed.

The human body is amazeballs, really.
It can't be real.
Like I've heard that if you laid out all the wiring in your brain it would go around the earth a number of times.
How in bejesus is that even possible?
We're made of matter held together with pure magic.

The fact that everything works in it, more or less, is rather miraculous in of itself.

Just nerves alone in one individuals' body average 46 miles!

I should be doing more yoga, unquestionably. Blasted social anxiety...

It's also weird that the same constituent elements there were in the universe already evolved to question the actual shape of the same universe. In a sense, the brain is somewhat entropically folded; everywhere neurons & dendrons can split or double-back, they do so.
