I should be doing more yoga, unquestionably. Blasted social anxiety...

I've also slipped out of yoga practice.
I'm very undisciplined.

Neuroplasticity and homeostasis amaze me.

I also believe in freewill.

The younger a person is, the more "neuroplastic" a person is.

For example, people under the age of five or so have a much easier time learning second or more languages (provided it's spoken consistently in the home) than people who start to learn the language at a later age. And they are much less likely to have an "accent."

Homeostasis in harmony in the body, basically.

Hi, everyone.

Hi.

In my psychology class we learned that infants have an innate ability to learn language. Or at least, that's one of the theories.

Infants do have an innate ability to learn languages.

It's been proven in many studies, and proven anecdotally, too.

In Slavic folklore it's a woman, and she wears white.

Fate is usually female(s), you'd think a female Death would be more common on that basis alone.

So yesterday evening I was walking onto a bridge to think about jumping off.
It was my break at work.
At the head of the bridge, a black cat walked out, stopped in my way, and looked at me.
Because of the eye contact, mainly, I did not go onto the bridge, but followed the cat down a path to the side.
The cat disappeared into the darkness. After a little while, I found a £5 note on the path.
I headed back to work, put the money into the charity box at the door.
Returning to my department, I heard a manager behind me say 'Rachel, do you want this? It's for you or it goes in the bin.'
I turned around and it was a witch's hat.

I am doing better today, and I have a hat (and maybe a familiar  ).
Don't jump off bridges, guys.

It's so ironic about the "black cat."

It meant "good luck" to you, apparently.

How are you otherwise, Racheypie?

That is the most metal story I've ever heard.

Dragnet made me think of this song I was obsessed with and used to listen to on endless loop.

Thanks for that.

Hi, guys. I haven't done much today, at all.

I've decided to read the Mistborn trilogy again, even though it's so dark.

Evening all,

I haven't done much today either.
Just some small essential tasks.

I am wondering what to do with my meatballs.
